Guifeng is located in the center of the "Three Mountains and One Capital" such as Longhu Mountain, Sanqing Mountain, Wuyi Mountain and Porcelain Capital Jingdezhen, and is an important part of the World Geopark Longhu Mountain-Guifeng Geopark and the World Natural Heritage "China Danxia".
Among the many introductions, it is said that Guifeng is all "national scenic spots", national aaaa-level tourist areas, "national patriotism education bases", etc., especially the status of geoparks is more important. Few people mention that Guifeng is still a national forest park.

Li Mengyang of the Ming Dynasty wrote the famous sentence "The turtle peak on the river is rare in the world"; Xu Xiake wrote "The wonder of the turtle peak is strange, and the wild geese have nothing". Especially because there are countless hieroglyphic stones that resemble turtles, and the whole area looks like a huge giant turtle from a distance.

Guifeng's flora is very rich, with more than 140 families and more than 800 species of higher plants, mainly subtropical flora. In particular, there are ancient relict plants here, such as ginkgo biloba, bamboo cypress, water pine, etc. in gymnosperms, sassafras, green money willow, Fujian cypress and so on in an angiosperms.
In particular, the tallness of bamboo cypress and southern yew is rare in the country. There are 18 species of woody plants listed as national protection, and there are more than 30 kinds of provincial protection, so it is called "plant small kingdom".
In the Guifeng scenic spot, there is a four-season laurel, about 10 meters high, 15 meters crown width, 8 branches, leafy branches, flowering in all seasons, it is estimated that it has a thousand years of advanced age, and it is a major characteristic plant landscape of Guifeng. An ancient camphor tree located in the park's Suoyun Bridge, with a chest diameter of 2.1 meters, a height of 30 meters, and a crown width of 36 meters, is said to have been planted by the Tang Dynasty Zen master Mao Toad when he built the "Ruixiang Temple", and has a history of more than 1,100 years.
Guifeng has a particularly good climate and complex terrain, and there are many ornamental landscape plants distributed in natural forests. In spring, there are azaleas, roses, peach blossoms, plum blossoms, acacia flowers, wisteria flowers and so on. In summer and autumn, there are scattered lilies, clusters of gardenias, osmanthus flowers, purple weeds and so on. Pine, bamboo and plum in winter are plant landscapes with Chinese characteristics.
According to research, there are more than a thousand kinds of animals in Guifeng, in addition to general mammals, birds, insects, there are also golden leopards, Sumen antelope, sika deer, long-tailed pheasants, acacia birds and other valuable and rare animals.
The mountains here are multi-pictographic, and the tourism management department writes its meaning according to its shape, and uses imagination to arrange various wonderful explanatory words for various pictographic stones. Like Wanglang Peak, Celestial Visitor, Tengu Eating Ribs, Three Looks at old man peak, boy worship Guanyin, leader peak, eagle catching chickens and so on.

Shao Shiping, the first governor of Jiangxi Province, once wrote that "the land article collection turtle peak, the cold winter waxing moon is like a spring wind."
