The green-winged golden dove, bird name, is a bird of the genus Golden Dove in the family Doveidae, commonly known as the green-backed golden dove. It is usually active alone or in pairs in dense vegetation areas of the lower layer of the forest. Fly low very quickly, through the forest, and take off with a sound of wings. Drink water from streams and ponds.
Distribution range: Common, nominated subspecies in the tropical regions of south China, from southern Yunnan, Guangxi, Hainan Island, Guangdong to southern Taiwan and southeastern Tibet in the lowlands and foothills of primary and secondary forests. This species has been included in the "List of Terrestrial Wild Animals Protected by the State or of Important Economic and Scientific Research Value" issued by the State Forestry Administration on August 1, 2000.
