July 21 (Taiwan Straits Herald reporter Gao Muhui) Recently, the poetry and dance drama "Xiamen Spirit" jointly created by Xiamen Minnan Tourism Culture Industry Co., Ltd. and Xiamen Vocational College for Performing Arts ushered in its premiere at the Minnan Shen yun theater.
The drama focuses on the theme of party history study and education, with the Xiamen spirit as the main line, and shows the typical deeds of the spirit of Jiageng, the spirit of the seawall, the spirit of the heroic three islands, the spirit of the good eight companies of Gulangyu Island, the spirit of Matang and the spirit of the Gai military rank.
According to reports, in order to better compile and restore the real history, the repertoire editing and creation team read relevant books and films, consulted a large number of materials, and also visited the Seawall Spirit Memorial Hall, Jiageng Memorial Hall, Hero Three Islands Memorial Hall, etc., to gain an in-depth understanding of what is the Xiamen spirit and feel the true connotation of the Xiamen spirit. The repertoire comprehensively uses dance, song, performance and other artistic means, and nearly 50 actors participate in the whole play, which fully demonstrates the urban spirit of Xiamen with the characteristics of the times and keeps pace with the times, and carries forward the spirit of Xiamen to more people in the form of poetry, music, dance and drama.
