Shanghai Sharks Men's Basketball Team today officially announced a one-year extension with Taiwanese player Zeng Wending. Before the contract extension, there were also other CBA teams that threw olive branches to Zeng Wending.
Zeng Wending is 31 years old, 2.04 meters tall, and plays as a big forward. In the second half of last season, Zeng Wending missed several games due to a knee injury. In 24 games for Shanghai, Zeng Wending averaged 5.0 points, 3.0 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 0.8 steals per game. Zeng Wending has been playing for Shanghai for five seasons, and in the new season he will continue to play in the CBA League as a shark team.
Although Zeng Wending's form declined last season, he revealed that there are still other CBA teams in contact with him in the offseason. However, Zeng Wending finally chose to stay in the Shanghai team because of his familiar teammates, coaches, and living environment that he had already adapted to.
