At about 20:00 on January 6, 2018, the Panamanian oil tanker "SANCHI" collided with the Hong Kong-flagged bulk carrier "CF CRYSTAL" about 160 nautical miles east of the mouth of the Yangtze River. The accident caused the oil tanker "SANCHI" to catch fire on the whole ship, the ship leaned to the right, and the crew member was lost; the bulk carrier "CF CRYSTAL" was damaged, which did not endanger the safety of the ship, and 21 crew members have been safely rescued.
It is understood that the Panamanian oil tanker "SANCHI" belongs to Iran's BRIGHT SHIPPING LIMITED, with a length of 274 meters and a condensate carrying about 136,000 tons.
The main component of the condensate is a mixture of C5 to C11+ hydrocarbons and contains a small amount of hydrocarbons greater than C8 and impurities such as sulfur dioxide, thiophene, thiols, sulfides and polysulfides.
Bulk carrier "CF CRYSTAL"
This reminds us of the severe impact of the Mexican crude oil spill in April 2010 on the marine ecology. Not to mention the possible disasters such as acid rain, the impact on marine life alone makes us feel uneasy.

During the migratory or breeding period, the big-winged whale will continue to make a low, thick call, and I don't know if I will be able to hear this "Siren Song" in the East China Sea in the future.
Obama is worried about an oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico
Leaking crude oil can be cleaned up by a variety of methods, but these methods usually do not completely remove the spilled crude oil. Fortunately, the Ministry of Transport attaches great importance to it, immediately deploys the search and rescue and clean-up work, and requires the China Maritime Search and Rescue Center and the Shanghai Maritime Search and Rescue Center to coordinate and send forces to search and rescue.
As of 9 o'clock on the 7th, the maritime law enforcement ship "Sea Patrol 01" and the professional rescue ship "East Sea Rescue 101" and "East Sea Rescue 117" have arrived at the scene, the "China Coast Guard 31240" ship, 3 professional sewage removal boats and high-horsepower tugboats are rushing to the scene, and the Shanghai Municipal Fire Bureau has sent fire experts to accompany the ship. Coordinated by the China Maritime Search and Rescue Center, the South Korean Marine Police Agency has dispatched a Coast Guard vessel and a fixed-wing aircraft to the scene.
At present, the tanker "SANCHI" is floating, still burning, there is oil on the sea, and the search and rescue operation is being carried out intensively.
