Jingchu Network (Hubei Daily Network) News (Reporter Lin Lin Correspondent Jian Jie) Recently, a man in his 30s could not sleep after night shift, and was diagnosed with cerebral infarction after being sent to the hospital. Experts caution that the proportion of young patients with stroke needs to be vigilant.

Mr. Zhang (pseudonym), 36, is a construction worker working at night shifts at construction sites for four years. Because he often works all night, he and most people have different daily routines, day and night. Night shift work safety responsibility is heavy, in order to ensure the soberness of working hours, he has been smoking for 20 years to work to refresh his mind, and he has to smoke more than one pack of cigarettes at night.

At more than 5:00 a.m. on the morning of the 17th, Mr. Zhang felt particularly tired after the night shift, had no strength, and returned to the dormitory to rest as usual. At noon, the day-shift workers returned to the dormitory to prepare to ask him to eat, but he did not reply, the workers thought he was too tired, and they had to continue to sleep, so they did not bother much. Until dinner time, Mr. Zhang to take over, the co-workers saw that he had not yet gotten up, so he went to urge, found that Mr. Zhang could not move, could not speak, so he quickly sent him to the Wuhan Central Hospital Houhu Branch for medical treatment, the hospital's senior stroke center experts found that Mr. Zhang has appeared drowsy, slurred speech, one side of the limb hemiplegia, after careful examination, diagnosed as stroke.

Subsequently, the hospital opened an emergency green channel for Mr. Zhang, and a multimodal imaging assessment found that the patient had cerebral infarction caused by acute large blood vessel occlusion, and Xiong Wei, deputy chief physician of the Department of Neurology of the Houhu Branch of the hospital, and colleagues performed an emergency percutaneous intraluminal left middle cerebral artery embolectomy for Mr. Zhang, and successfully removed the thrombus that blocked Mr. Zhang's cerebrovascular. On the second day after the operation, Mr. Zhang's physical strength and speech ability were significantly improved. After follow-up lipid reduction, protection of brain cells, improvement of circulation and symptomatic supportive treatment, Mr. Zhang recovered well and was successfully discharged from the hospital on the morning of the 28th.

On the 29th, World Stroke Day, Jing Ping, director of the Department of Neurology of Wuhan Central Hospital, reviewed the clinical experience in recent years and said: "In recent years, among the stroke patients admitted to the stroke center, the proportion of young people has increased significantly, and the department can basically encounter cerebral infarction patients under 40 years old every week, and the youngest is even only 19 years old. According to the screen, they have treated 28-year-old takeaway workers, 26-year-old programmers, and the common characteristics of most of these young patients are high work intensity, stress, staying up late, and some have the habit of smoking and drinking, and some have hidden heart, blood system and other diseases.

"Modern fast-paced life brings a lot of pressure to young people, but also caused more tension and anxiety, and some bad life and schedule habits have become their way to alleviate anxiety." Jingping said that such as a lot of smoking, drinking, playing games for a long time, staying up late to play mobile phone dramas, etc., for alleviating mental tension and pressure, it is only "drinking to quench thirst", and the young body will also be overdrawn for a long time. The correct decompression should choose a healthy way, such as often with relatives and friends appropriate exercise, walking green, listening to music to adjust the mood, regular work and rest, early bed and early rise, more regular and healthy diet, especially for young people with hypertension, hyperlipidemia, diabetes and obesity, should be more vigilant about the occurrence of cerebral infarction.

Director Jingping reminded that for the citizens who have symptoms such as dizziness, headache, blackness in front of the eyes, sudden forgetfulness, insomnia, aphasia, incomprehension, limb movement, inability to open their eyes, drooling, etc., they must go to the nearby stroke center for treatment at the first time, especially young people, not to mention that the alarm signal sent by the body is paralyzed because they are young and good, and the sooner the treatment, the better the effect. "What we want to do is to be vigilant for stroke symptoms and identify and treat them as soon as possible." Director JingPing said that this is also the theme of this year's World Stroke Day.
