According to the Fujian Daily, "The home appliances I bought online arrived, and I was worried that I would not be able to move, but I did not expect to be able to deliver them directly to my doorstep, and the days of picking up the express delivery in the county town before were gone!" Recently, Su Weidang, a villager in Shoushan Village, Shoushan Township, Pingnan County, could not help but admire the convenience of express delivery to the doorstep of the home.
"In the past, express delivery did not enter the village, but could only go into the city to pick up the goods, which was time-consuming and laborious, and it was not convenient to shop online." Talking about the previous experience of taking couriers, the Su Wei Party frowned.
Shoushan Township is located in the eastern part of Pingnan County, with jurisdiction over 14 administrative villages such as Shoushan, Xialong, and Baiyu. The township covers an area of 106.5 square kilometers, with an average altitude of 755 meters, known as "nine mountains, half water and half a field". However, due to the geographical conditions of Shoushan Township, the permanent population is not large, the amount of express delivery business is small, the express delivery is placed in the county town or Sungai Town outlets, and then notify the recipient by telephone to pick up the goods, which is not only inconvenient for villagers to pick up, but more importantly, hinders the channel of "entering the city" of characteristic agricultural products.
A small courier is related to the production and life of the people in the township. To this end, Shoushan Township through the Provincial Postal Administration sent to Shoushan Village Party Branch First Secretary Chen Jinxing to complete the "last kilometer" of express delivery services in Shoushan Township in the form of "postal (government) express (delivery) cooperation".
At present, the express mail sent by the express delivery enterprise to the villages in Shoushan Township is uniformly handed over to the county postal company, and then delivered to the countryside through the channels of the postal company, and the recipients no longer need to go to other places one by one to collect them. At the same time, postal and express delivery enterprises also sent "big gift packages" to some e-commerce enterprises in Shoushan Township for new industries and new formats in Shoushan Township, and signed cooperation agreements with e-commerce companies at the most preferential negotiated prices to open up channels for agricultural products to enter the city and reduce the operating costs of enterprises.
"It turned out that to take a courier from the village to drive from the village to the county seat or Sungai Town, the distance was far away, and it also increased the time cost." Now, the express delivery is directly delivered to the store, saving time and effort, and it is really a service to our hearts. Qi Guoyan, a villager who married into Shoushan Village from abroad, said.
The express delivery into the village to the home not only makes Qi Guoyan happy with the convenience of the current express delivery, but also allows her to eat the delicacies of her hometown thousands of miles away, and greatly enriches the list of foods she has prepared for guests. Since the day she was couriered to the village on July 21, she has received more than 10 kinds of delicious products from her hometown, such as milk scallops, goji berries, spicy seeds and yak jerky.
Shoushan Township is rich in agricultural products, but the sales channels are narrow, and it is difficult for villagers to increase their income. Villagers' own navel oranges, hibiscus plums, eggs, duck eggs, etc., are mostly sold through WeChat, e-commerce platforms and other ways. But the logistics are not smooth, good things cannot be sold, and the villagers guard the "golden mountain", but the pockets cannot be drummed up.
"After the express delivery enters the village, it directly saves the time of delivery, the cost is reduced, and the income is also improved." Han Rong, a large navel orange household in Baiyu Village, said with a happy face that he used to wait for a certain number of orders to accumulate, and then ran to the county town to send it uniformly, and after a long time, it was inevitable that some navel oranges would rot and deteriorate in his hands.
Today, Shoushan Township has achieved full coverage of postal express delivery in 14 administrative villages, which not only accelerates the export of local agricultural products, but also meets the diversified consumption needs of villagers. "'Express delivery into the village' not only allows the goods of the e-commerce platform to be sent in and promote consumption, but also sends local agricultural products out, broadens the sales channels of villagers, and continuously increases income." Zheng Huadong, secretary of the Shoushan Township Party Committee, said that in the next step, Shoushan Township will integrate the resources of all parties, further improve the quality of express delivery into the village, and strive to build a rural supply chain system integrating "production, transportation and marketing" to better serve economic development and rural revitalization.
