Located at 10 Hebei Street, Haiwu was completed in 1934. It has a tall Archway-style gate tower of the Republic of China, with patios in the front and back courtyards, and the plan is a quadrangle with two "day" characters, and the whole adopts a hanging mountain-style brick and wood structure. Covering an area of 550 square meters, the outer wall of the backyard is equipped with stone defensive shooting holes, which is a "private mansion" that integrates daily living and security defense.
"Haiwu" is now used as a memorial hall of the Wenchuan earthquake Qiang nationality, the original simple and elegant courtyard has been decorated, and the strong ethnic minority style makes the haiwu full of vitality.
Sea House is the local name for a large mansion in the town. Sichuan people have never seen the sea, so everything that is very big is described as "sea". The sea house is naturally a big mansion.
Fire well, can have such a big mansion, the prosperity of the old times can be seen. It is said that the deputy director of the Chongqing Customs Office at that time, the Huojing people, spent all their savings to build this big mansion in order to compete with Chen Zhiyuan, the elder brother of the town.
Later, when the country was liberated, as the bureaucrats of the old days naturally could not continue to enjoy such wealth, the government exchanged three bungalows on the street, and the sea house became the local tax office at that time.
Perhaps thanks to this experience, the sea house has not been destroyed as the "four olds", and today we can get a glimpse of the past.
Chen Family Compound
The Chen Family Compound is located at 12 Government Street, echoing the "Sea House" on the other side of the river. The old mansion was built in the late Qing Dynasty and covers an area of 1680 square meters. The unique brick "eight" shaped archway structure gate is majestic. Surrounded by a wall of more than two meters high, there are six large and small patios and 48 large and small rooms in the courtyard.
The compound, whose original surname was Yu, was originally the Yu family's qianzhuang "Hongfa Number", and later sold to Chen Zhiyuan, the brother of the new rich man in the town, Huojing, and was renamed the Chen Family Compound.

If the Lao Yu family is a family with great wealth, then Chen Zhiyuan is a powerful person. Chen Zhiyuan was the boss of the Robe Brothers Association, and also served as the director of the joint security and the township chief, and it was not an exaggeration to describe him as the "Earth Emperor" of Huojing. He thought that the feng shui of the old mansion was not good, so he expanded the courtyard of the past two entrances to the north into three entrances, and then abandoned the old gate facing north and built it into the archway gate that is now facing east. The word "Yilu" is engraved on the lintel of the door in order to raise the heavens here. However, the good times did not last long, and later the Chen family also fell, and the big mansion became the seat of the huojing town government.
Uncle Wang, who guards the sea house, said that the owner of the house has someone else, who has moved overseas and has quietly returned. In fact, no matter who the owner of the sea house or the Chen family compound is, a small town still has two such large houses, which is enough to see the prominence of this "first important town" at that time.

Yu three x three = nine

There is a saying in Huojing folk: "Earning a family is like picking up the soil with a needle, and a loser is like pushing sand with water." Maybe it can't break the eternal curse of "rich but not more than three generations", or maybe it is because of the unfavorable situation of warlord chaos. The Lao Yu family was later defeated, and the old mansion was sold to Chen Zhiyuan, the brother of the robe at the time.
Nowadays, the Yu family is no longer the richest man in the past, and huojing is no longer the "tea and salt town" of the old days. But the story of this "blacksmith and wealth" has left a deep imprint on the history of the fire well.
China's First "Female Champion"
There are several particularly famous women in the history of Sichuan, Zhuo Wenjun, Madame Huarui, Xue Tao, etc., and their stories have been passed down through the ages. There was also such a legendary woman in the fire well. She is the first "female champion" Huang Chonggao in Chinese history.
Huang Chonggao, who has only learned since childhood, often dresses as a man and travels. Once, he encountered a fire in the county town and was falsely accused of arsonist. In prison, he wrote poems to defend himself: "Even words are hidden in Linqiao, and the line is stronger than Jian Song." What is the government is as clear as a water mirror, tripping him wild crane in a deep cage. Greatly appreciated by the prime minister, he was appointed as an acting sihu to join the army. It was not until the prime minister wanted to recruit her as a son-in-law that Huang Chonggao revealed his daughter's identity and retired to Tonggu Mountain (Chonggu Mountain) after resigning from the government.

Of course, this is just a beautiful legend, and the Zhuangyuan Bridge has another origin, which is part of the "Paper Fanggou Tea Horse Ancient Road". In the old days, there were many flash floods to block the trade routes, so the villagers spontaneously donated money to build bridges, and six stone bridges such as the Shenxian Bridge, the Zhuangyuan Bridge and the Taoyuan Bridge were built on the creek within a radius of several kilometers. The town of Huojing was so generous, and the financial resources at that time were evident.
