Today Xiaobian gives you a popular science Round Spot Flat Tail Puffer, Round Spot Flat Tail Puffer 12; Fin 11; Pectoral Fin 17; Vertebrae 8 + 10 = 18o

The body length is 5.8 times the height of the body and 3.3 times the length of the head. The head is 1.9 times the length of the snout and 4.6 times the diameter of the eye. The tail stalk is 4.0 times longer than the tail stalk.

The body is slender, long cylindrical, the cephalothorax is slightly thick and rounded, gradually elongated backwards, the body width is greater than the body height, slightly flattened, and the tail stalk is conical and slightly flattened. There is a prominent longitudinal skin fold on both sides of the abdomen from below the corner of the mouth to below the end of the caudal stalk. The head is large, nearly rectangular, bluntly rounded at the front, slightly rounded on the back and ventral surface, and straight on the sides. The snout is long, round pufferfish, and the back is slightly rounded. The eye is large, oblong-oval, upper-sided, and closer to the uchire than the snout. The eye septum is wide and flat, 2.4 times the diameter of the eye. The nasal flap is an ovoid protrusion. Located above the anterior front of the eye; the nostrils are small, 2 on each side, one at each end of the front and back of the nasal flap. Small mouth, anterior position, flat and horizontal. The upper and lower jaws and teeth heal, forming 4 beak-like tooth plates with a prominent central seam. The lips are well developed, with 1 eye fold at the corners of the mouth, and a deep groove on the outside. The ule is medium-sized, inferior, curved, and slightly oblique. The viewing film is black.

The dorsal, lateral and ventral surfaces of the body, except around the mouth, around the pectoral fin and in front of the anus to the base of the caudal fin, are densely covered with small spines, and the small spines on the back and sides of the body are smaller, and the ventral surface is larger. Each small spine has 4 branches of forked star-shaped small spines at the base, buried under the skin. The lateral lines are well developed. The dorsal branch is located on the upper lateral position, with a dorsal branch above the uterus hole, and the dorsal branch is gradually bent downwards at the back of the eye to connect with the posterior end of the orbital branch; the orbital branch is oblong oval and extends forward to above the snout; the left and right snout branches are connected in front of the nasal flap to form the dorsal branch; the dorsal branch extends backwards, bending downward at the base of the dorsal fin to reach the middle end of the caudal stalk; there is a downward vertical branch behind the corner of the mouth to form the mandibular branch; the mandibular branch is connected to the ventral branch and follows the ventral surface to below the end of the caudal stalk.

1 dorsal fin, pointed knife-shaped, located at the back of the body, above the anus, and the anterior 2 fins do not branch. 1 fin, almost identical to the dorsal fin, which starts later than the dorsal fin and has a longer anterior fin. The pectoral fins are short and broad, with a slightly concave posterior margin and a lateral inferior position. No ventral fins. The caudal fin is broad, the posterior margin is curved and concave, and the posterior margin of the juvenile caudal fin is shallowly concave and slightly convex in the middle.

The dorsal surface is dark blue or dark green , with small black spots from above the posterior margin of the eye to behind the caudal stalk. The body side is from the snout, and there is a silvery-white longitudinal broadband through the base of the pectoral fin to the posterior end of the middle of the caudal stalk. There are large silver-white triangular spots on the front edge of the eye, and the ventral surface is milky white. The pectoral, dorsal and fins are greyish-white. The caudal fin is dark blue or dark green. Juveniles have pale yellow folds on the lateral skin, yellow in the middle of the caudal fin, and white at the ends of the upper and lower lobes.
