Anhui Jixi Longchuan, with a long history and beautiful scenery, the famous anti-Wu general Hu Zongxian at the end of the Ming Dynasty was the 36th generation of the Hu clan, and the Dengyuan River flowed from the edge of the village.
Longchuan is the ancient name of Kengkou Village, located about 12 kilometers northeast of jixi county seat. The village is uniquely located and beautifully landscaped. According to the "Longchuan Hu Clan Zongpu", the ancestor Hu Yan, who originally lived in Puyang, Qingzhou, Shandong (present-day Henan), was in the fourth year of daxing in the Eastern Jin Dynasty (318 AD), and was a regular attendant and leader of the Yuan Dynasty, who went south with Emperor Yuan, and guarded Shezhou (present-day Shexian County). Later, in the first month of the first year of Xiankang (335 AD), he became associated with the Queen of Jixi Huayang clan and moved here two years later. The carvings of the high gate tower are dominated by historical dramas and dragon and lion dances. The flower carving adopts the combination of relief, hollow carving and line carving, and the pattern is vivid and vivid.
The carvings of the high gate tower are based on historical drama and dragon and lion dances. The 22-meter wide bucket arch of the gatehouse supports the eaves and soars into the air. There are 6 stone pillars, 5 moon beams and square beams in the front and back of the gatehouse, which are strictly structured and evenly arranged. Coming out of the main hall, walk into the side room on the east side of the main hall, its structure is divided into upper and lower halls, the height is only half of the main hall, the wood carving is simple, and there is another style. This is a sub-shrine, why build this sub-shrine? According to legend, Longchuan is in the shape of a ship, the whole village is the same hu surname, and the ship in the sea if there is no iron anchor can not stop sailing to the port, so from the village invited a Ding surname to live in this temple, Ding surname is like an iron anchor to nail the big ship is stable. What is even more strange is that this Ding surname has been 16 generations so far, and it has been passed down from generation to generation, whether it is for what reason or a "mystery". The "mystery" of the ancient temple is more than one. More than 400 years after the overhaul of the ancient temple, not a single spider could be found. Some people say that the ancient temple uses high-quality wood, and some people say that the key is that the ancient temple is located in the treasure land of feng shui. Although this "mystery" is not solved, there is no spider web, and the flower sculpture is more stylish.
Probably because they love the art of Huipai wood carving, and it is also a treasure land of outstanding people, many people and tourists at home and abroad, traveling to southern Anhui or visiting Huangshan, all have to rush to this village to visit, plus taste.
