After the work was on the right track, Yuan Chunsheng gradually came into contact with every member of the party branch who completed the 78-day mission of escorting the South China, and their seemingly word-for-word narration was enough for him to piece together a thrilling scene in his mind.
On May 4, 2014, all the members of the party branch of the "Coast Guard 21" quickly assembled and set off within two hours to go to the offshore oil 981 drilling platform, the place where the mission of the "Zhongjian South" escort project was executed, and they performed a task that was unclear about the specific content, execution deadline and degree of danger.
Captain Li Yong, who did not close his eyes for two days and two nights in the face of dangerous situations, and protected the ship with his tenacious will and exquisite technology, said: "On the first day of the mission site, there was an explosion around the 'Coast Watch 21' steamship, and the foreign side sent ships to crash into the drilling platform and the surrounding vigilance boats, laying out obstructions, and even sending frogmen to attack the Chinese ships." ”
When the wife was about to give birth, Nie Shouliang, the third pipe of the "Coast Guard 21" who could not contact his family, mentioned to Yuan Chunsheng the most was the back of the captain when the ship encountered a power failure.
He said: "The chief engineer is an old party member, his kidney stones are old problems, there is no emergency medicine on the ship and there is no effective treatment, he walks up and down, he is shaking badly, I followed him to check the faults one by one, it only took ten minutes, after the captain's quick and accurate judgment and processing, the hot and shaky ship returned to normal and restored its brightness, and the moment everyone cheered, I felt as if I had fought a victorious battle." It should be said that we are fighting a victorious battle! ”
Peng Guoqing, an engineer in charge of advanced equipment at sea, told Yuan Chunsheng that guarding the ship's equipment requires perseverance and perseverance, and each link can not be relaxed to ensure the smooth completion of the task.
He said: "During the day, we use radar equipment to find and persuade fishing boats to leave the sea in time to understand the situation in the surrounding waters. At night, high-power searchlights are used to search the sea to ensure the safety of the motherland's territorial waters. These advanced equipment give us a sense of security, but also give us the confidence and support to complete the work! ”
As the only woman on the Coast Guard, Tan Xuan worked as a Vietnamese translator on board.
She quipped to Yuan Chunsheng: "Because I am afraid of seasickness, I eat very little at every meal, and I lose a lot of weight after the task is completed." I was also deeply shocked by the state in which all the members of the party branch of the 'Coast Guard 21' overcame the discomfort of bad sea conditions, seasickness, insomnia, and high temperatures to work hard. 78 days, every day uninterrupted shouting, this is not only shouted to the Vietnamese side, but also to our Chinese colleagues to encourage, at this moment, my voice represents China! ”
