Fox has already aired an entire season of Lethal Weapon, and the new show has five more episodes, resulting in a huge eighteen episodes. Although theoretically this is four episodes less than the traditional one season, as a reboot of the small screen, this boosts its confidence.
"Lethal Weapon" went on air last month with 7.9 million viewers and a rating of 2.2, which is comparable to the record of "Private Forensic Doctor" a year ago. According to Fox statistics, as soon as the l+7 data was counted, the ratings of the pilot episode rose to 3.2. So far, the average L+7 audience on all platforms is 11.5 million people and has a rating of 3.0.
"Lethal Weapon conveys to the audience a fiery, entertaining core relationship between two cops, with energetic performances by Damon Vias and Klein Crawford, cinematic action scenes, and a flattering sense of humor and sincerity." Enthusiastic Fox Entertainment President David Madden made such a statement. "We're excited to add these episodes to the first season of Lethal Weapons."
