It is an insect of the family Carnivorous flies that prey on other insects but does not lick the blood of humans and animals. The burglar has specific hairs , long legs and spines that can catch other insects. It usually rests on the ground or on a blade of grass waiting for an opportunity to catch an approaching insect and paralyzes the captured insect with poison.
