Ye Weiming (born 1867 - died 1948), also known as The Character Panxin, also spelled Pinsan, ye zhou, a native of Xinzhou, the county seat of Shexian County, lived in Hangzhou, Zhejiang. Erudite and knowledgeable, good at carving stones, topping monuments, and refined gold stones. He is the author of "Biography of Guangyin People", "Biography of the Jinshi Family", "Ye's Seal Genealogy", "JinshiZhi of Shexian County", "Liexian Seal Play" and so on. In the glorious history of Xiling for a hundred years, Ye Weiming is an admirable master.
In 1904, Ye Weiming, Ding Fuzhi, Wang Fu'an, and Wu Shiqian jointly organized a printing society, inviting famous seal engravers at home and abroad to join the society to practice seal engraving and printing skills, for many literati and scholars to exchange and explore the culture of jinshi. Because the site is located in the isolated mountain of Hangzhou, adjacent to Xiling, it is named "Xiling Printing Society".
Ye Weiming is good at jinshi calligraphy and painting, and is known as the three best of the world. Good books, especially good at sealing. Pure and simple, the body is rigorous, condensed with a pen. Ye Weiming's printing style is different, whether it is imitating the Zhejiang school of printing, or taking the Qin and Han seals, they all show a very precise and precise zhuwen seal, which is round and strong, full of white text, thick and simple, and the fine white text seal is quite vivid and flexible in the Qin zhao version. The edges of his works are carved with a single knife, which is quite beautiful and beautiful.
Ye Weiming's family has a large collection of gold stones and books on archaeology, and has printed the collection in the world, which is popular throughout the country. He is the author of "Seventy Memoirs", "Shexian JinshiZhi" in 14 volumes, "Notes on Ye Zhou" in 8 volumes, and has compiled "Biography of Guangyin People", "Re-continuing The Biography of Yinren", "Erjin Dietang Seal", "Tiehua'an Seal Collection", "Yiyuan Printing Series", "Relics of Sui'an", "Songshi LuYinhui", etc., and edited "Xiling Printing Society's 30th Anniversary Commemorative Journal". Kaiwu Changshuo carefully selected and approved 10 volumes of the "Golden Stone Calligraphy and Paintings", all of which are treasured by xiling printing society. In the summer of 1926, Wu Changshuo, Huang Binhong, Wu Guxiang, Huang Shanshou, Lu Lianfu and other 25 famous painters were invited to compose the "Visiting Monument map of Shexian County", which was collected in the past 10 years.
