Pinyin qiān jīn zhuì
Aliases Western Dingza grass, a wax, Dora, loquat taro, loquat jade.
Source is the genus Lydangaceae spp. xylanchehimalaica (hook.f.et thoms.) g. beck, into the medicine with tubers. In early summer, when the seedlings are sprouted, the tubers are dug up, washed and sliced, and the rotting and raw maggots cannot be medicated.
It is a parasitic herb in its original form, 15 to 25 cm tall. The tubers are woody, spherical. The stem is erect, single, reddish-brown, thick and fleshy at the young, gradually elongated and thinned. The leaves are interspersed and sessile; the leaves are small, scaly, triangular and ovate. Spike-like inflorescences are apical, flowers have thin stems, 1 scaly leaf-like bract at the base of each flower, no small bracts, calyx-shaped, flattened, corolla bilabial, pale flesh red, short lower lip, inconspicuous 3-tooth cleft; stamens protruding. Carpel 3, thong-shaped placenta, branching. Capsule fruit, 3 lobes; seeds are mostly.
The habitat segment grows in the shade of alpine mountains at an altitude of about 3000 meters, often parasitically at the roots of Rhododendron grandiflora or Rhododendron chinensis. It is distributed in Shaanxi, Hubei, Sichuan, Yunnan and Tibet provinces and regions.
Sexual taste spicy, flat. There is a small poison.
The main function is to treat qi and relieve pain, dispel wind and activate the network, kill insects and detoxify. Indications: stomach pain, bloating, bruises, rheumatic joint pain, menstrual irregularities, schistosomiasis, herbaceous poisoning, external treatment of mumps.
Dosage 0.5 to 1 dollar; external use of appropriate amount, tubers grind vinegar to rub the affected area.
