As early as 1934, at the age of 29, Chen Yun was elected to the Politburo Standing Committee at the Fifth Plenary Session of the Sixth Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, entering the highest leadership.

Chen Yun's succession is actually a natural thing, because after the founding of New China, economic construction has become the most important thing, and in our party, the one who is best at the economy is Chen Yun. As early as the Yan'an period, Chen Yun presided over the financial and economic work of the Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia Border Region, and after the founding of the People's Republic of China, he served as vice premier of the State Council and director of the Financial and Economic Committee, presiding over the financial and economic work of the whole country.
When the founding of the People's Republic of China was just about to be rebuilt, the economy was withering, and prices were soaring, Chen Yun spent only one year to unify the country's financial economy, stabilize prices, and let the economic construction of New China begin to enter the right track.

Although Chen Yun has been in a high position for a long time, he has never relaxed his children's education. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, Chen Yun was assigned a Red Flag car, but his children never sat once, even if the children were sick and needed to go to the hospital immediately, Chen Yun also refused to let the children take his own car.
Chen Yun's eldest son, Chen Yuan, later recalled that at that time, he would think that his father was not close to people, but then he understood his father, who was teaching us to distinguish between public and private with practical actions.
Once, Chen Yun was seriously ill and needed to be taken care of, so the organization arranged for his wife Yu Ruomu and eldest daughter Chen Weili to take care of him, and his salary was also paid. However, after Chen Yun recovered from his illness, he asked his wife and eldest daughter to return all the wages during this period, saying: "To receive the salary, you have to do things for the unit, and if you take care of me and I do not go to work, you cannot take the salary with peace of mind and take advantage of the public." ”
Chen Yun has five children, two sons and three daughters, two of whom are looking for wives that are worth mentioning.
Chen Yun's eldest son, Chen Yuan, was born in 1945, graduated from Tsinghua University, and served as chairman of the China Development Bank and vice chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference. Chen Yuan's wife is named Liu Chaoying, the eldest daughter of Liu Huaqing, and a lieutenant colonel in our army.
Regarding Liu Huaqing, the inn has previously introduced that he was awarded the rank of major general in 1955 and the rank of admiral in 1988, and served as commander of the navy, vice chairman of the Central Military Commission, and was a member of the Standing Committee of the 14th Politburo of the Central Committee, belonging to the zhengguo-level cadres.
