Letter from the Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Bureau of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs on the "List of Drugs and Other Compounds Prohibited for Food and Animal Use"

In order to further strengthen the management of veterinary drugs and ensure the safety of animal-derived food, in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Regulations on the Administration of Veterinary Drugs and the needs of veterinary drug supervision, our bureau organized relevant units to study and revise the list of drugs and other compounds prohibited from food and animals on the basis of the provisions of the former Ministry of Agriculture Announcement No. 193, No. 235, No. 560, with reference to the relevant provisions of the International Food Codex, the European Union, the United States and other relevant regulations, combined with China's actual conditions.
