On July 24, 2016, the 2016 Taizhou Film and Television Project Promotion Activity was held at the Shanghai International Convention Center, a total of 8 projects were signed, with a signed capital of about 500 million yuan, and at the same time, it was announced that the third Asian International Tourism Film and Television Festival was settled in Taizhou.
More than 200 people attended the promotion activities, including Zhao Huayong, vice chairman of the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles and chairman of the China Television Artists Association; Hu Jinjun, deputy director of the Propaganda Department of the Shanghai Municipal CPC Committee and director of the Municipal Bureau of Culture, Culture, and Broadcasting Bureau; Zhang Xian, secretary of the sub-party group of the China Television Artists Association; Yan Pin, deputy director of the Bayi Film Studio; Zhang Bing, deputy secretary of the Taizhou Municipal CPC Committee and mayor; Ye Haiyan, member of the Standing Committee of the Taizhou Municipal CPC Committee and director of the Propaganda Department; Xiao Lihui, vice mayor of the Taizhou Municipal Government; and representatives from cultural enterprises, film and television investment institutions, and film and television literary and art circles in the United States, Beijing, Shanghai, and Hangzhou. At the meeting, the leaders of Taizhou City and well-known figures in the domestic film and television circles made speeches one after another, and the promotion meeting also held the awarding ceremony of the Taizhou Film and Television Creation Base of the Shanghai Radio, Film and Television Production Industry Association.

At the launching ceremony, Taizhou Mayor Zhang Bing delivered a speech on behalf of the Taizhou Municipal Party Committee and the Taizhou Municipal Government.
Zhang Bing pointed out that in recent years, from the State Council to local provinces and cities, great importance has been attached to the development of the film and television industry. Taizhou not only has the geographical advantage of backing the mountains and the sea, but also has a long-standing cultural heritage such as "Hehe Culture", "Buddhist Daoyuan" and "Jigong Hometown", but also has a good economic foundation, which is suitable for the development of film and television cultural industries and the creation of film and television cultural works.
Ye Haiyan, member of the Standing Committee of the Taizhou Municipal CPC Committee and director of the Propaganda Department, gave a detailed introduction to the film and television themes in Taizhou. Ye Haiyan said that the cultural industry has gradually become a pillar industry in Taizhou, and the film and television industry is one of the core industries. At the meeting, she focused on four major themes of Taizhou film and television creation (Tiantai Mountain cultural themes, marine culture themes, red series themes, and reform and opening up series themes). These four major themes include Hehe culture, jigong legend, dachen island reclamation, Wei Wen's first voyage to Taiwan, Qi Jiguang's fight against wokou, taizhou private entrepreneur entrepreneurship stories, etc. Ye Haiyan expects more film and television practitioners to explore and exploit cultural charm and social wealth from it, and create a number of film and television masterpieces.
Wang Liping, a national first-class screenwriter and vice chairman of the Shanghai Television Artists Association, praised Taizhou's natural beauty and long-standing culture at the meeting, and suggested setting up a Chinese TV drama screenwriter creation base in Taizhou, so that screenwriters can experience life and find creative materials.
The promotion activities opened up the contact channel between Taizhou and Shanghai Film and Television
Xu Yougen, director of the Taizhou Municipal Bureau of Culture and Broadcasting, introduced Taizhou's current film and television support policies at the meeting. It is mentioned that film and television creators, film and television creation companies, film and television projects have provided multi-angle and all-round policy support and inclination such as living subsidies, fiscal and tax support, project funding, and awards for high-quality works. At the meeting, Taizhou also introduced some of the achievements made by Taizhou in recent years by attaching importance to the support and development of the film and television industry: Taizhou's local TV series "The Gate of the Sea" and the movie "Super Typhoon" have successively won the national "Five One Project" award. The TV series "Qi Jiguang, The Hero of the Anti-Wu Dynasty" was broadcast on CCTV's prime time at the end of 2015. "Shaolin Temple", "Tianlong Babu", "Flowers and Bones", "LangyaBang", "Pretender" and "China on the Tip of the Tongue" have been filmed in Taizhou Tiantai, Xianju, Sanmen and other places. In 2015, Taizhou's cultural and related industries achieved an added value of 17.32 billion yuan, an increase of 14.93% over the previous year, accounting for 4.87% of GDP.
As the highlight of this promotion activity, there are 8 signed projects, namely the Asian International Tourism Film and Television Festival, the TV series "Ballad of the Sea", the movie "Haimenwei", the documentary film "Home in Dachen Island", the movie "Love Knight", the Linhai Linghu Film and Television Cultural and Creative Park, the animated film "The Return of Jigong", the Hollywood film "Air Raid" shooting base and other projects.
The Asia International Tourism Film and Television Festival is an event that promotes the prosperity and development of Asian film and television culture through the content exchange of local tourism programs in Asia. The festival has been held twice in Hokkaido, Japan. In view of the rapid development and increasing influence of Taizhou's tourism industry, the Organizing Committee of the Film and Television Festival and the China Television Artists Association will hold the third Asian International Tourism Film and Television Festival in Taizhou, which will start this year and hold an awards party in May next year.
Linghu Film and Television Culture and Creative Park is a cultural and creative company established by Linhai City and New Film Shengshi (Beijing) International Micro Film Co., Ltd. to settle in Linhai Ling Lake Scenic Area. It will cooperate with 6 state-level units such as china television artists association, China Radio and Television Society, and Beijing Film Academy to build a leading cultural and creative industrial park in China.
The film "Air Raid" was jointly produced by the American Global Media Management Group (GMMG), the Central News Documentary Film Studio (Group), and Beijing Oriental Tianyi Digital Film Co., Ltd. The film is based on the "Doolittle Air Raid" on April 18, 1942, telling the touching story of the American pilots who completed the air raid mission on Tokyo, Japan, under the leadership of Lieutenant Colonel Doolittle, and forced a landing on the southeast coast of China, including Taizhou, and the Chinese military and civilians risked their lives to rescue and protect it. The film's producers, Anthony Scotty, Donna Smith, and visual effects supervisor John Hughes, are all Oscar judges. The film's general director is Bruce Bearsford, a well-known Australian director who has directed more than 30 films and has received 19 Oscar nominations and 6 Oscars. With a total budget of $115 million, most of the film's scenes in China will be filmed in Xianju County, Taizhou.
After the signing ceremony, the Taizhou Municipal Tourism Bureau and 9 counties and municipalities in Taizhou also negotiated projects with representatives of relevant cultural enterprises, film and television investment institutions, and film and television departments at home and abroad. According to the person in charge of the Propaganda Department of the Taizhou Municipal Party Committee, the promotion activities not only opened up the contact channel between Taizhou and Shanghai film and television, but also made great significance for accelerating the introduction of preferential policies for film and television in Taizhou, promoting the establishment of film and television shooting services, launching large film and television projects, establishing a large platform, and making up for the shortcomings of Taizhou's film and television industry.
