Didier Deschamps was the head coach of Marseille, the traditional ligue 1 powerhouse, before coaching the French national team. In an interview with RMC TV Tower a few days ago, he talked about the different feelings of coaching clubs and national teams. Deschamps broke the news that he had lost 20 kilograms of overwork during his coaching of Marseille.

Deschamps said it was not easy to coach the club
"Marseille has always been a very ambitious club and they have set a very ambitious goal. I think a lot of French coaches want to lead this team to the championship glory. Deschamps said, "I lost 15 kilograms when I coached Marseille? Not only that, probably 20 kilograms! The working environment was very harsh, and sometimes I even insisted on not sleeping for 24 consecutive hours. Even in the inter-season period, we had to play a warm-up game every three or four days, and the nerves of the whole coaching staff were tense. But it also comes from a love of football, something we ourselves are willing to do. That experience at Marseille was very special, coaching the club and coaching the national team were two completely different feelings. ”
Deschamps led Marseille to a League Cup double in 2011–12 before officially becoming head coach of the French national team in July 2012.
