The day the Great Purple Butterfly was discovered was June 13. Many people may also have an impression of that day: not only because it is Saturday, but also because the maximum temperature is "bad breath" at 35 ° C, but it is actually so hot that it is suffocating.

At that time, this big purple butterfly was stopping on the ground, and after being disturbed, it jumped up, and did not think of crashing into the butterfly net.

The large purple butterfly is turned over, and the wing pattern is very different from the front, consisting of bright yellow patches and black veins, and there are also red spots at the horns.

Ningbo is not the distribution area of the great purple butterfly.
The great purple butterfly is mostly found in Northeast China, Hebei, Henan, Shanxi, Shaanxi, Taiwan and other places. In Zhejiang Province, it is also distributed in places like Lishui and Lin'an.
In addition, Japan, Korea and other countries also have a large purple butterfly distribution. Because of its "explosive appearance", the big purple butterfly is known as Japan's "national butterfly".
In the past 30 years, there has been no record of the large purple butterfly found in Ningbo.
The big purple butterfly that "appeared" this time is intact and should have just feathered. To put it more easily, it should be the "aborigines" living in this pristine mountain forest, and it is unlikely that they have migrated from other places.
The forewing angle of this male butterfly is 10.5 cm, while the length of the single forewing is 6 cm, which is the largest of the 58 species of butterflies in the butterfly family that have been found in Ningbo.
It is also worth mentioning that there are three kinds of butterflies on the cover of "Zhejiang Butterfly Chronicle", namely the golden phoenix butterfly, the large purple butterfly and the black purple butterfly, which are outstanding representative species of butterflies in Zhejiang Province.
