Rhodesian Ridgeback is known in English as rhodesian ridgeback because of its ability to hunt lions, also known as lionhounds. The Rhodesian Ridgeback is strong, agile and fast. It has a noble temperament, is extremely loyal to its owner, and will keep a certain distance from strangers. The distinctiveness of this species is that it has a ridge on the back, and the ridge is formed by the reverse growth of the dorsal hairs. The ridgeline is clearly defined, tapering and radial. The ridge begins behind the shoulder and continues between the two protrusions of the hips, with the two protrusions facing each other and the lower edge of the protrusions exceeding 1/3 of the ridgeline.
