(1) Clean your hands, tilt your head back, look up, and gently pull your lower eyelids apart with your index finger to form a hook bag.
(2) Drop the liquid from the corner of the eye into the eye bag, 1 to 2 drops each time, and the distance between the eye drops should be 1 to 2 cm.
(3) Gently close your eyes for 1 to 2 minutes, while gently pressing the bridge of your nose with your fingers.
(4) Gently press the canthus of the eye with your fingers to prevent the diversion of the liquid from reducing the concentration of topical medication in the eye and the flow of the liquid into the mouth through the nasolacrimal canal to cause discomfort.
(5) If two liquids are used at the same time, the interval should be more than 10min.
(6) Eye drops should not be opened and used multiple times, such as when the liquid is cloudy or discolored, do not use it again.
(7) During the day, eye drops should be used for eye drops, repeated many times, and eye ointment should be applied before going to bed, which is convenient for maintaining the eye wall for a long time and is conducive to maintaining the concentration of the drug.
(8) After the multi-dose package of eye drops is opened, the use time should not exceed 4 weeks, unless otherwise indicated. In the hospital ward with eye drops normal is discarded 1 week after opening.
1. If you use two kinds of eye drops, the interval between the use of the two eye drops is preferably more than 10 minutes. You can use eye drops with weak irritation first, and then use eye drops with strong irritation. If eye drops and eye ointment are used at the same time, generally eye drops are given first, followed by eye ointment, and the interval should be 10-20 minutes.
2. Eye drops are recommended to mark the opening time, and if it is not used up for one month after opening, it is not recommended to continue to use. After the opening of the bottle, the eye drops are stored for too long, and the liquid in the eye drops will volatilize, the concentration of the drug will change accordingly, and there is a possibility of breeding bacteria and pathogenic microorganisms.
3. After use, if you feel that your vision is deteriorating, irritating, itching or burning, please stop it immediately and inform the doctor or pharmacist in time.
4. When using eye drops, emotional stability should be maintained, tear fluid will dilute the drug to reduce the concentration of the drug, resulting in a decrease in efficacy. Especially infants and young children, should avoid using it when crying.
At present, some eye drops will also be used in the treatment of infantile hemangiomas in China, mainly 0.5% timolol eye drops and 2% cartilol eye drops, which are applied to the affected area.
