First, the symptoms are different

Eggplant gray mold can be infected at the seedling stage and the adult stage, in addition to harming flowers and fruits, it also harms leaves and stems. The fruit is mostly caused by the infection after the flower is damaged, and the local area around the young fruit peduncle first produces water-soaked brown spots, and after enlargement, it is dark brown, depression and decay, and the surface produces an irregular wheel-like dense gray mold, so that the fruit loses its edible value.

Eggplant black root mold fruit rot is mainly harmful to the fruit, does not infect the stem and leaves, young fruits, fruits can be diseased. At the beginning of fruit infection, water-soaking brown spots appeared, first from the sepal site to spread to the fruit, and then quickly extended to the entire fruit, causing the fruit and stalk to become brown and soften and decay, and when the humidity was high, a sparse gray-white mold layer was produced on the surface of the diseased part, and then a black hairy mold appeared, like a needle,The diseased fruit fell off, and some dried and shrunk into zombie fruits hung on the eggplant plant.

Second, the conditions of onset are different

Gray mold disease overwinters in the remnants, surface and soil of the disease as conidia or sclerotia, and spreads and spreads by conidia in the shed or field, and infects the petals after flowering, and then invades the fruit to cause disease. The low temperature and high humidity in the shed are serious when the ventilation is poor.

Black root rot is strongly saprophytic, weakly parasitic and pathogenic. Spread by wind and rain, the humidity in the shed is higher than 80% in the following spring, and the disease is more common to disease, and the fruit wound is more severe.

Third, the prevention and control measures are different   

Low temperature and high humidity are the most suitable for the occurrence of gray mold, and should be released in time to drain moisture and form an environment that is not conducive to the occurrence of gray mold. Because gray mold disease is prone to drug resistance, pesticides must be applied in rotation or mixed application to delay the generation of drug resistance and improve the effectiveness of prevention. On sunny days, it can be sprayed with 0.3% eugenol (golden ash) or nonglilin mixed with acetovir, and can also be sprayed with 25% acetoxysoxazole (fungus) 3000 times liquid control. In case of cloudy days, smoke can be used to kill germs in the greenhouse, or spray dust agents to prevent and control.

For the prevention and control of black root mold rot, leaf picking, whole branch and other work is best selected on a sunny day, try not to damage the fruit, in order to prevent increasing the wound and causing the disease. At the onset of the disease, you can spray 3000 can kill, or 600 times the copper of the cream or quinoline copper double liquid, in short, the black root mold rot disease should be mainly prevented and controlled by copper preparations.
