The mainland side punishes the above-mentioned "Taiwan independence" diehards on the list in accordance with the law, prohibits themselves and their families from entering the mainland and the Hong Kong and Macao Special Administrative Regions, restricts their affiliated institutions from cooperating with relevant organizations and individuals on the mainland, and absolutely does not allow their affiliated enterprises and financial owners to seek profits on the mainland, as well as adopt other necessary punitive measures.

At the same time, Zhu Fenglian also sternly warned such "Taiwan independence" diehards that those who have forgotten their ancestors, betrayed the motherland, and split the country will never have a good end and will certainly be spurned by the people and judged by history. The mainland side will pursue criminal responsibility for "Taiwan independence" diehards in accordance with the law, which will be valid for life.
Qiu Yi, a professor at Taiwan's Chinese Culture University, said in an interview with a Global Times reporter that the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council has introduced punitive measures this time, which is very good and can definitely play a role in opposing "independence" and promoting reunification; it can be said that it is a slap in the face of "Taiwan independence" and can let the "Taiwan independence" elements know that it is not after reunification that there is no good end, but that before reunification, they must pay a heavy price for their "Taiwan independence" behavior.
Shao Zonghai, dean of the Academy of Social Sciences at Taiwan's Chinese Culture University, said in an interview with the Global Times that from the perspective of a Taiwanese, it was difficult for some "Taiwan independence" elements in the past to feel the warnings of the mainland and restrain their behavior. However, this time is different, the mainland is using its own influence and the authority it can use to directly sanction "Taiwan independence" elements, and the scope of sanctions is not limited to Chinese mainland, but includes Hong Kong and Macao, which practice "one country, two systems."
