In 2012, he defeated Federer in three straight sets in the men's singles final at the London Olympics, becoming the first British Olympic singles gold medalist in 104 years, and in the same year, he won the US Open, becoming the first British player to win a Grand Slam men's singles title in 76 years since 1936. In 2013, he beat Djokovic 3–0 in the wimbledon final, becoming the first English native to win Wimbledon since Fred Perry's victory in 1936.

On 10 July 2016, in the men's singles final of the Wimbledon Championships, Murray defeated Raonic in three straight sets to win his second Wimbledon title of his career and his third Grand Slam trophy.

On August 5, 2016, he served as the flag bearer of the delegation at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro [4]. On August 15, in the men's singles final of the Rio Olympics, Murray successfully defended his title by defeating Del Potro. On November 7, Murray topped men's singles world number one for the first time. On November 21, Murray defeated Djokovic 6-3, 6-4 to win the year-end finals for the first time and become the year-end world number one in 2016.

Since 2017, Murray's competitiveness has repeatedly declined, and even the news of preparations for retirement has even been reported at one point. Fortunately, he did not choose to retire but continued to insist. But the title of the Big Four, which has withdrawn from the Big Four, has left him, and now there is only the title of the Big Three.

The 2021 ATP1000 Paris Masters began the men's singles first round of competition. Former tournament champion Andy Murray, who played with a wild card, lost 4-6, 7-5/6(9)-7 to the lucky loser and Germany's left-hander Copfer, made his first round trip in 11 appearances at the Paris Masters, and was also the third time this season after Montpellier and the US Open.

Murray has become the first superstar of the men's tennis four giants to fall into the dust, and his era has become a thing of the past.
