"For children here, mental health is a problem that needs to be paid attention to but cannot be solved. Through these days of exchange training, we also have a new understanding of the role of music in regulating psychology, and then we have a 'key' to carry out mental health education for children. A participating teacher in Honghe County said.

The reporter learned that Shi Fangfang, the person in charge of Qixin Public Welfare, is a music teacher. Back in 2016, she and a group of like-minded friends began a training program for music teachers in Shangri-La, Yunnan. This year, after honghe county in Yunnan introduced this project, Shi Fangfang learned that Honghe is the counterpart of Changning, so she set up a Qixin public welfare social organization in Changning and landed in Chengjiaqiao Street.

"There are many ethnic minorities in Yunnan, and children are born with musical cells, and everyone can sing and dance, which makes music education very smooth." Shi Fangfang told reporters, "But we also found that children here, especially primary and secondary school students, are mostly left-behind children, and their mental health problems need more attention, so we want to use music therapy to solve this problem." ”

Township schools lack professional musical instruments, so they use the human body and readily available items to carry out various "playing music" demonstrations; without professional equipment, Qixin Public Welfare brings drum circle technology, through the rhythm and beat of percussion to drive the human body's emotions and guide everyone to complete the musical experience.

In June this year, the journey of Qixin Public Welfare Culture Empowerment rural revitalization came to Honghe for the first time and achieved good results. The classroom moved, and the children became more and more cheerful through some novel music experiences, cultivating a sense of teamwork and a positive attitude towards life. "When we see the smiling faces of the children, we feel that the work has meaning." Shi Fangfang said.

"Many office workers in Shanghai are under pressure. Drawing on our experience in music interventional treatment of mental health, we will next launch a music stress reduction project for middle-aged and young people in Shanghai.
