China News Network, November 3, comprehensive foreign media reported that in the early morning of the 3rd local time, Israel launched a missile air strike on the area near the outskirts of Damascus, the Syrian capital.
The Syrian national news agency (SANA) quoted military sources as saying that Israel had fired "multiple missiles" and caused some "material damage."
Israeli officials reportedly did not immediately comment.
On October 13, Israel launched an airstrike on the central Syrian province of Homs, which killed at least one person and injured three others. On October 8, six Israeli warplanes fired 12 missiles at a Syrian air base in Homs province, eventually injuring six soldiers and causing some material damage.
Agence France-Presse previously reported that since the outbreak of the Syrian civil war in 2011, Israel has frequently launched air strikes in Syria, mainly targeting Syrian government forces, Lebanese Allah party-affiliated forces and facilities or Iran-related military targets, but Israel rarely acknowledges or discusses such actions.
