Long-tailed yellow cricket
The long-tailed yellow ceratophylla [cōng] belongs to the family Ceratophyllaceae.
Morphological characteristics
Medium-sized cetyls. Hermaphroditic.
Male: Yellow-green thorax. The wings are transparent and the wing moles are brown. Segments 1 to 6 of the abdomen are bright yellow, and the back of segments 7 to 10 is black, and gradually extends to the ventral and ventral surface.
Female: Resembling a male, but the abdomen is predominantly brown.
habit
Adults appear from April to October. It often inhabits still water environments such as ponds, reservoirs and wetlands with abundant aquatic plants, but also in lowland forests and streams with slower flow rates. Males have territorial behavior.
Habitat
The still water and gentle water environment below 2500 meters above sea level in Qinling Mountains.
