In the history of Chinese novels, a large number of ready-made drama texts have been introduced into long novels, and "Jin Ping Mei" is the most prominent one.
These ready-made drama texts are not outside the novel as an embellishment of the novel, but the water and milk are blended in the novel, becoming the blood and flesh of the novel, and there are so many drama words embedded in the novel, most of which do not make people feel burdensome If they are extracted from the novel, it will make the bones of the novel lose their contact with the tendons; one by one, the people who are about to come out will also be eclipsed.
For example, in the twenty-eighth section of "Pan Jinlian's Snow Night Pipa", the author cleverly arranged a [Erzhu Jiang'er Shui], describing that Ximen Qingzi did not come to Pan Jinlian's room for many days after hooking up with Wang Liu'er. Pan Jinlian wanted to be fiery, and when Ximen Qing did not come, she relied on the fixed screen, played the pipa, and expressed her loneliness and resentment with a song [Erzhu Jiang Ershui], which really had great meaning.
At this time, the mood of the characters is completely consistent with the plot of the song; the content of the song is integrated with the content of the novel. In this way, not only can a lot of pen and ink be omitted, but also more vivid than the general depiction image, thus increasing the elasticity and thickness of the novel.
From the above example, we can see that the author of "Jin Ping Mei" likes to use drama or scattered music to embed in the novel, so as to structure the story, promote the development of events and portray the character image. There are many such cases in "Golden Plum". Another example is the arrangement of the twentieth [Yue Tune Hesheng] set of songs "Happy To get meritorious and famous".
The author did not copy the whole set of songs together, but intermittently, combining the playing and singing of the prostitutes, Pan Jinlian's comments, Wu Yueniang's anger, and the flattery of Count Xianying, using very little pen and ink, but receiving significant artistic effects. It not only foreshadowed the important position of Li Zhen'er in ximenqing's family, but also laid the stage for the contradiction between Wu Yueniang and Ximenqing, and paved the way for Wu Yueniang to make peace with Ximenqing later, and Wu Yueniang to sweep the snow and cook tea. And vividly describes Pan Jinlian's cleverness and jealousy, and the flattering nature of Count Ying, Xie Xida and other gangs.
In "Golden Plum Bottle", not only many sets of songs are arranged very wonderfully, but also the use of some small orders of music, but also do their best.
For example, the fourth time to describe Pan Jinlian's "Drunken East Wind"; the eighth time to Write to Ximen Qing's book Cambodia [Parasitic Grass]; the eighty-fifth time Chen Economic's reply to Pan Jinlian; the twelfth response to the Earl's mockery of Li Guijie's [Chao Tianzi], and the twentieth time Ximen Qing and the old bustard scolded each other [Man Tingfang], etc., all used appropriately and naturally, making people laugh at the case.
Of course, the use of drama and loose music in "Jin Ping Mei" is not all just right, and not all the arrangements of the songs have deep meaning, it should be said that the use of some songs is obviously improper, or even wrong.
For example, the second sentence of Pan Jinlian's post [red embroidered shoes] written by Pan Jinlian to Chen Economics in the eighty-fifth time, "I will break the Hun family for you", is very inappropriate.
"Hun family" is another name for his wife, how could Pan Jinlian have frustrated the Hun family for the Chen economy? Volume 18 of the "Yongxi Lefu" contains this song, which is "I was scolded by your mother for you", which is certainly inappropriate for Pan Jinlian, although the author has revised it, but it is still inappropriate after the change.
Another example is the set of [Zhenggong] songs of the seventieth time, which was excerpted from the fiftieth play of Li Kaixian's "Book of the Sword", which was originally written about Lin Chong's revenge on Snow Hate, murdering Gao Li's father and son, and accusing him of his crimes, but here it was used to write about the imperial relatives and group members to congratulate Zhu Lixin on Guanglu Doctor and Taibao, and another son was sung when he was promoted to a thousand households, and the singing content was very different from the scene at that time, which was obviously an artistic mistake.
