On March 6, 1942, Lin Yuying, one of the early revolutionary leaders of our Party, died in the Yan'an Central Hospital, and when he learned that his last wish before his death was to always accompany our Party, the tough guys of our Party on the battlefield shed tears one after another.
With a heavy heart, Chairman Mao personally carried the coffin and buried Lin Yuying on the TaohuaLing Ridge next to the Yan'an base area, and together with Marshal Zhu De, Premier Zhou, and others took turns to guard the spirit for him.
Chairman Mao even wrote down a drawing of the elegy,
"Faithful to the country, even if it is dead, it is still honorable."
This was the only time in Chairman Mao's life that he carried a coffin for someone to be buried, and it was also a rare moment when Chairman Mao could not resist his sad emotions.
So who is this Lin Yuying? Some people say that if he can live to the founding of the country and be awarded the medal, he can at least receive the rank of marshal, is this really the case?
Influenced by Marxism in his 20s, Lin Yuying joined the Communist Party of China, ran factories, schools, organized and led the workers' movement, and he himself soon became the backbone and elder of our party.
"What the hell can be done to change this country and save these people?"
With this doubt in mind, the 27-year-old Lin Yuying came to moscow to study at the Communist Labor University, further deepening his understanding of Marxism.
Because of this, when he returned to China in July last year, he changed his name to Lin Qingshan.
After going out for a walk and looking, combined with his previous revolutionary experience, Lin Yuying finally found the answer to the question that had puzzled him for a long time.
So he led the workers' movement in Shanghai shortly after his return, and in that mass parade of tens of thousands of people, he was always at the forefront of the procession, facing the cold bayonet and the muzzle of the gun, he was not afraid, but held his head high, like a straight flag.
"Stop, scatter, roll back!"
The military police in charge of maintaining order were very angry, and there was a trace of fear in their eyes, because standing in front of him was a large crowd of people, who although they had no weapons in their hands, their eyes were filled with fiery flames.
No one responded to the military police, the procession was continuing to advance, the military police who were in a state of rage, suddenly waved their bayonets in their hands and stabbed at Lin Yuying's head, the scarlet blood immediately frightened everyone, but Lin Yuying was still fearless.
As long as he walks on the right path, then this can also be the green mountain where he buried his bones.
Lin Yuying continued to walk, the flames that were about to be extinguished in the team grew again, and the military police saw that they had lost face, and directly smashed the butt of the gun at Lin Yuying's head, only to hear a bang, Lin Yuying fell to the ground.
Lin Yuying saved his life because of the timely treatment, but the revolution ended in failure, but this failure not only failed to break his will, but also inspired him to forge ahead.
It can be said that wherever the work is the most difficult, Lin Yuying will go where he goes, and everywhere he goes, he must plant the buds of revolution for the party in the hearts of the people in one place with his resolute revolutionary will.
Of course, revolution is inevitable, inseparable from bloodshed and sacrifice, because of the traitor's betrayal Lin Yuying was arrested by the Japanese army during his work in Manchuria, the Japanese army tortured him to extract a confession in order to learn from his mouth about our party.
Because he never confessed any information, the Japanese army tortured him for more than a year, so that after being rescued by our party, his body had been irreversibly damaged.
"It doesn't matter, to leave a wrecked body is to burn the last flame of this revolution."
With such a firm belief, Lin Yuying won the admiration of Chairman Mao and others, but he himself did not stay, and in 1933 he rushed to the Soviet Union to serve as the representative of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions in the Red Workers' International and the representative of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China to the Communist International.
It was not until July 1935, when the Comintern broke ties with the Chinese Communist Party, which began the Long March, that he returned to China on behalf of the Comintern to rebuild communications.
It was also Lin Yuying's return to China this time that greatly solved the problem of Zhang Guotao.
Someone once asked Chairman Mao the question, "When was the darkest moment of your life?" ”
Chairman Mao thought about it for a moment and then replied in this way.
"It should have been in 1935 when there was a problem with Zhang Guotao after meeting with the Red Fourth Front."
Because Chiang Kai-shek's 5th anti-encirclement and suppression campaign was particularly fierce, our army had to launch a twenty-five-thousand-mile long march, and in the course of the Long March, the Red Army and the Red Fourth Front had a rift.
The contradiction is that the number of the Red Fourth Front led by Zhang Guotao far exceeded that of the Red Front Army, where the Central Committee was located, which made Zhang Guotao breed the idea of "ascending to the throne".
When Chairman Mao, Premier Zhou, and others severely dispelled this idea, he began to plan the "Second Central Committee," disobeying Chairman Mao's command of the strategy of going north and resolutely demanding that he go south.
So soon after Lin Yuying returned, Chairman Mao found him and said sincerely,
"Yuying, I would like to ask you for a favor."
"The strength of the Red Army is still very weak, and every point must be cherished, and you can see if you can repair the relationship between the Red Army and the Red Fourth Front."
Hearing this, Lin Yuying solemnly respected Chairman Mao, only to see him seriously reply,
"No problem."
After this, Lin Yuying sent telegrams to Zhang Guotao many times, which clearly pointed out that the Comintern supported the CPC Central Committee's strategy of going north, hoping that Zhang Guotao would "express his ideas" and that as a "representative of the Comintern", he would relay it for him.
When Zhang Guotao received the telegram, he immediately panicked; he had originally watched the Communist Party of China and the Communist International break off ties, and the Central Committee of our Party corrected the erroneous leadership of Bogu and others, so he dared to breed the idea of ascending to the throne.
This time the Comintern directly stated that if he continued to quarrel with the Central Red Army, he was afraid that he would not be able to gain much, and thinking of this, he summoned the generals of the Red Fourth Front together and held a meeting, and the meeting finally decided to obey the Central Red Army's northward strategy and lead the Red Fourth Army to join the Red First Army.
It can be said that without Lin Yuying's interference, Zhang Guotao would not have been so relaxed, so much so that Chairman Mao said,
"Lin Yuying has made great contributions to solving the problems of the Red Army and the Red Fourth Front!"
After this incident, Lin Yuying was more and more admired by everyone in our party, so that when the War of Resistance Against Japan broke out and our party was short of manpower, Lin Yuying, who had never led troops to fight, also became the political commissar of the 129th Division.
After taking up this job, he fulfilled his duties, not only cooperating with Marshal Liu Bocheng to hold an oath-taking meeting to boost the morale of the soldiers, but also often going down to do ideological work for the soldiers, so that the soldiers of the 129th Division were highly motivated and their combat effectiveness was notoriously strong.
Unfortunately, just when Lin Yuying was actively carrying out his work, the sickness he had left behind for the revolution in the past had a seizure, and although he still did not want to leave the revolutionary front, In the end Chairman Mao ordered him to return to the rear to recuperate.
During the recuperation period in the rear, Lin Yuying still did not put down the work at hand, often doing things late at night, whenever someone advised him not to work so hard, he would smile and reply,
"The body is not very good, while you can do things, you still have to do more, do more ..."
Although our Party has gone all out to treat Lin Yuying's illness, because he had suffered too many injuries for the revolution in the past and the medical level at that time was not advanced, his body continued to become weak.
This situation reached its peak at the International Labor Day Congress in 1940, when Lin Yuying, who was still giving a serious speech, suddenly suffered a cerebral hemorrhage and fell directly on the stage.
Many comrades of our Party came to comfort him, including Chairman Mao and others, but Lin Yuying often told them,
"You're very busy, don't come to see me again, don't worry about me, I'm fine."
Chairman Mao and the others always smiled and nodded, and then they were driven away by him, but whenever they went out, their eyes were always unusually moist and their steps were slightly heavy.
On March 6, 1942, this great early revolutionary leader died of illness in the Yan'an Central Hospital, and the comrades of our Party all mourned.
Chairman Mao, General Manager Zhu, and others personally carried the coffin for him and buried him on the Peach Blossom Ridge on his side, so that he could stand with our Party for a long time.
Chairman Mao wrote down the eight-character elegy and sent him on his last journey with the eight characters of "loyalty to the country, honor even though death."
Although the hypothesis is meaningless, if Comrade Lin Yuying is really still alive at the time of the founding of the People's Republic of China, I am afraid that there is no problem in conferring the rank of marshal, not to mention his seniority and contributions in our Party, just by virtue of his courage of "daring to be the first in the revolution", how far can he go?
Although the general is dead, the glory lives on.
