Zhangjiakou News Network News: Recently, the 17th Global Operator Awards (gcas),——— the international authoritative award for the global computing infrastructure industry, were announced in London, and Qinhuai Data Group won the "Best Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Award", becoming the first Computing Infrastructure Enterprise in the Asia-Pacific region to receive the award.
Carl Roberts, Chairman of the Global Operator Award Jury and Winner of the Lifetime Achievement Award for the International Telecom Industry, highly affirmed Qinhuai Data Group's leadership in participating, exploring and expanding carbon neutrality and ESG management in the Asia-Pacific region as a leader in ultra-large-scale computing infrastructure.
All along, Qinhuai Data Group has always adhered to the "zero carbonism", taking the lead in promising to achieve the carbon neutrality goal of 100% adoption of "clean energy solutions" for all new generation of ultra-large-scale computing parks within the scope of global operation by 2040, and actively participating in the net zero carbon emission plan of computing infrastructure including direct trading of green electricity, innovation of regional green electricity consumption mechanism, construction of renewable energy power stations and integrated utilization of source network and load storage.
It is understood that Qinhuai Data Group has ranked at the forefront of the industry for three consecutive years in terms of green electricity trading volume, and in the first national green electricity transaction that ended in September this year, Qinhuai Data Group reached a total of 100 million kWh of green power transactions, becoming the largest green power purchaser in the computing infrastructure industry at the trade fair. Recently, Bloomberg New Energy Finance released the top ten Chinese enterprise green electricity transactions in 2021, and Qinhuai Data Group ranked first in the list of buyers of China's green power procurement enterprises. In 2020, Qinhuai Data Group reduced carbon by a total of 845,000 tons in renewable energy use and energy efficiency.
