After the Eighteenth National Congress, a number of provincial-level government leaders went to Beijing to perform their duties.
Zheng Zhijun noticed that in recent years, two government leaders in Shandong and Ningxia have successively entered Beijing.
Let's start with Shandong.
In March 2013, Jiang Daming, then governor of Shandong Province, entered Beijing and became minister and party secretary of the Ministry of Land and Resources. Jiang Daming is currently a member of the Standing Committee of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and deputy director of the Population, Resources and Environment Committee.
Jiang Daming was followed by Guo Shuqing (acting governor and governor from March 2013 to February 2017).
In February 2017, guo Shuqing stepped down as governor of Shandong Province and also entered Beijing to perform his duties, serving as the former chairman of the China Banking Regulatory Commission and secretary of the party committee. After the institutional reform in March 2018, Guo Shuqing served as the chairman and party secretary of the Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission, and the secretary of the party committee and vice governor of the central bank.
Let's look at Ningxia.
In 2013, Wang Zhengwei, then chairman of the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region Government, entered Beijing and took up the post of vice chairman of the 12th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and deputy director of the United Front Work Department of the CPC Central Committee (2015.04). Wang Zhengwei is currently the vice chairman of the 13th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.
Wang Zhengwei was succeeded by Liu Hui as the head of the Ningxia Autonomous Region government.
In 2016, Liu Hui entered Beijing and took up the post of deputy director of the State Ethnic Affairs Commission and deputy secretary of the party group (at the level of minister).
Zheng Zhijun noted that at present, the top leaders of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Natural Resources and other ministries and commissions were previously governors.
The secretary and director of the party committee of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council is Hao Peng. He worked in Gansu, Tibet, Qinghai and other places in his early years, and was the governor of Qinghai Province before taking up his duties at the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission in December 2016.
Li Xiaopeng has been working in the post of Minister of Transport for 4 years.
Zheng Zhijun noticed that Li Xiaopeng also entered Beijing from the post of governor to perform his duties. Prior to his current position, Li Xiaopeng was governor of Shanxi Province (who entered Beijing in August 2016).
Lu Hao, the current Minister of Natural Resources, entered Beijing in March 2018.
According to public information, Lu Hao served as vice mayor of Beijing and first secretary of the Secretariat of the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League, and in March 2013, he served in Heilongjiang and later served as the governor of Heilongjiang Province.
In March 2018, Lu Hao entered Beijing and has been in Beijing for more than two years.
In addition to state ministries and commissions, many provincial governors have also served in the National People's Congress and the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.

In February 2017, Yang Xiong, then mayor of Shanghai, entered Beijing and became vice chairman of the Financial and Economic Committee of the 12th National People's Congress. He is currently the deputy director of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the 13th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.
In the same year, Zhu Xiaodan, then governor of Guangdong Province, also served in the National People's Congress. In 2018, Zhu Xiaodan took up his position as a member of the Standing Committee of the 13th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and director of the Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and Overseas Chinese Committee.
Also in 2017, Huang Qifan, then mayor of Chongqing, went to the National People's Congress.
Today, Huang Qifan has stepped down, and his current position is "Vice Chairman of the China Center for International Economic Exchanges.".
