The harm is very serious. How to prevent the tianniu in the orchard?
1. Hazard characteristics
The celestial bull mainly feeds on the trunk with larvae, and lives the longest, causing the most serious harm to the trunk. When the eggs hatch out of the larvae, the first larvae that is mothed into the trunk, initially under the bark to feed, after the age increases, that is, into the xylem as a pest, the larvae in the trunk of the activity, the shape and length of the moth tunnel varies with the species, at a certain distance of the larvae of the larvae eat the trunk and branches, affecting the growth and development of the tree, will make the tree weak, resulting in the invasion of pathogens, but also easy to be broken by the wind. When the damage is severe, the whole plant dies.
2. Occurrence law
There are many kinds of Tianniu. Different types of algebra are also different, generally 1 to 2 generations are completed in 1 year, and some 2 to 3 years or even 4 to 5 years can complete 1 generation. Larvae or adults overwinter in the trunk. Adults nibble on a round feathering hole in the trunk from mid-April to early May, and fly out of the trunk from May to June, some need to supplement nutrition, eat pollen, young branches, young leaves, bark, sap or fruit, fungi, etc., some do not need to supplement nutrition. Adult lifespan is generally more than 10 days to 1 to 2 months, the male will die soon after mating; the female adult egg laying method is related to the form of the mouth organ, generally the anterior mouth type of adult egg laying eggs directly into the rough bark or cracks; the lower mouth of the adult worm first bites into a slot on the trunk, and then lays the eggs in the slot.
3. Prevention and control methods
(1) Kill the larvae: Check the tree before and after the Qingming Festival, find that there is fresh insect feces, use a wire to clean the wood chip-like insect feces in the hole, use a degreasing cotton dipped in 40% poison tick emulsion 5 times the liquid into the worm hole, when the excrement and wood chips can not be discharged, the Tianniu larvae will use the mouth to bite the cotton ball to clean the passage and kill the larvae.
(2) Control of adult insects: May to June of each year, is the best time to control the adult tianniu, can be used 2% thiamethoxoline microcapsular suspension agent using a motorized sprayer to dilute the agent 1000-2000 times liquid for forest spraying. Generally, after 2 hours of administration, adult Tianniu began to die in large numbers, and the control effect after 24 hours could reach more than 90%. When used in rainy conditions, it can be controlled for about 40 days, and when used under low rain conditions, the effective period can reach 90 days. The number of applications and dosages have been greatly reduced, so that pests at different stages can be controlled, and the cost of control has been greatly reduced. At the same time, it can also treat pine caterpillars, poplar boat moths, pine rotund insect pests, American white moths and various types of inchworms.
