Mesozoan drug control master four points, it is recommended to collect Oh

author:Miao Class Leader Public Welfare Lecture Hall

Mesophyllum, also known as "tree lice", has many types and is harmful. Common species of garden plants are: Japanese turtle wax borer, mulberry white borer, brown soft borer, blowing sponge bug, red wax bug, wei spear arrow tip bug, moon season white wheel shield bug, purple weed velvet bug, ivy round shield bug, Kao's white shield bug, bran shield bug and so on. Because its body surface is covered with a thick waxy shell, it is generally difficult for pesticides to penetrate, so the effectiveness is often poor. In the practice of prevention and control, we must avoid the real and the virtual, find the weaknesses of this type of pest, and control it in a targeted manner. Combined with my many years of practical experience in teaching, scientific research and technology promotion, the author talks about his views on the control of this type of pest.

Mesozoan drug control master four points, it is recommended to collect Oh

In addition to the traditional plant quarantine, garden technical measures, physical control, biological control and other measures, the following four points should be paid attention to in the selection of agents and the appropriate period for prevention and control:

(1) The use of corrosive agents

The reason why mesozoans are difficult to control is that the waxy shell covered by its body surface can be smeared or sprayed with corrosive agents such as stone sulfur compounds in the production of flowers and trees and the maintenance of garden green space, because the agents are alkaline and corrosive, so it will be easy to corrode the appearance of the mesozoites, thereby killing the insects. In the process of specific application, the southern region mostly uses pine resin mixture, and the northern region uses stone sulfur compound. The author once led students to spray 3 to 5 baumedo stone sulfur compounds on the large-leaved boxwood hedges to prevent and control the spear-tipworm on the large-leaf boxwood hedges before the budding of flowers and trees in the spring (late February to early March), and applied 5 baumedu stone sulfur compounds on the trunks of the ziwei trees in winter to control the ziwei velvet beetle, all of which received obvious results.

It should be noted that because this type of agent has strong corrosiveness, it must be used in the dormant period of the plant, otherwise it will produce drug damage. The agent is both commercial and self-boiling, but regardless of the type, its application concentration and application period must be well grasped.

(2) The use of asphyxiating agents

Although the mesolar is completely wrapped in the shell, it always leaves a vent hole on the periphery of the mesolar, so it can be controlled with a drug that can block the vent hole. In practice, the variety of agents often used is diesel emulsion (or oil emulsion), the principle of action is that the agent is lipophilic, can cover the surface of the waxy shell of the insect body to form a complete oil film, block the ventilation hole, and even in the form of small oil droplets along the ventilation hole into the valve of the shell insect, blocking the trachea and bronchi of the insect body, so as to better play the role of suffocation insecticide.

High concentrations of diesel emulsions (or motor oil emulsions) tend to cause harm to plants, but the author has proved after a lot of practice that when applying the drug, as long as the growth period of the young shoots of the above plants is avoided, and the concentration of the agent does not exceed 3%, it is still safe. Of course, due to the wide variety of plant varieties and local conditions, for the sake of safety, when using a large number of drugs, it is necessary to conduct a drug hazard test first.

In addition, the agent, like the stone sulfur compound introduced earlier, belongs to the safe green, pollution-free mineral pesticide, which is very similar to the traditional Chinese medicine preparation taken by people after illness, which is worth vigorously promoting.

(3) Use of systemic insecticides

The living habit of the mesozoan is to use its needle-like mouthparts to draw sap from the tree, so it can be sprayed, trunk injection (or punch injection), soil irrigation (burial) medicine and other ways to mix a large amount of medicinal liquid in the sap of the tree, thereby killing the insect body. Therefore, imidacloprid, acetamidine and other agents with internal absorption characteristics can be used for treatment. When spraying the tree, it is also appropriate to add osmotic agents such as silicones to further improve the permeation effect of the agent and improve the anti-efficacy.

(4) Use drugs during the incubation period of mesozoans

Mesozoans have no mesembs when they have just hatched from their eggs, so this is the best time to control mesozoans. Because one insect is small and shellless during this time period, it is extremely sensitive to the agent; the second is that the insect body is not dispersed, which is convenient for centralized elimination. At this time, the use of conventional agents such as rapid culling, Lesben, efficient extermination of 100 grams, etc. can receive better results, at this time if the use of internally absorbent imidacloprid and other agents, the effect is better.

It should be noted here that the incubation period of mesozoans is greatly affected by pest species and microclimate, and the time is short, only about 7 days. Once the period is missed, it is often no longer possible to use this method. Therefore, in practice, it is best to arrange special personnel to conduct careful observation, find the incubation period of the mesenchymal insects, and use drugs in time.

In addition, it is recommended to use The Lyn Ping An Lin Tai, the drug is conducted in both directions, which can be conducted upward and downward in plant tissues, which can not only protect the new tissues from insect infestations, but also kill pests that are difficult to reach by general agents, a new mechanism of action, and an effective period of up to 60 days.
