According to the Associated Press, lawyer Matthias Mora pointed out that Diego Maradona, who led Argentina to the championship in the 1986 Football World Cup, died of very poor medical treatment.

Morra recently testified at a court in Buenos Aires investigating Maradona's cause of death that Maradona was not getting the treatment he deserved and that the treatment was "very bad."

The Associated Press quoted Mora as saying, "A lot of mistakes were made [during the treatment]. ”

Mora also noted that maradona's decision not to be treated in hospital was "unwise."

Maradona died on November 25, 2020, at the age of 60.

Previously, the Medical Expert Committee formed to investigate Maradona's death had prepared a final report for the judiciary, finding that the medical team responsible for Maradona had acted inappropriately, inadequately, and was negligent. The Committee considers that Maradona did not receive the care and treatment he needed, which could have contributed to his death. In addition, medical staff determined the exact time of Maradona's death: the star had been dead for several hours while undergoing resuscitation.
