Human beings' understanding of this world is also deepening step by step, and how many kinds of creatures there are on the earth, in fact, even if they have developed to this day, human beings are only a small part of their understanding. For example, just a few years ago, humans discovered a new arthropod— a crab that looks like a strawberry.

According to the morphological characteristics of this crab, biologists have classified it under the order Decapods, suborder Gastroderma, and petal crabs. Because from the appearance, this crab looks too much like a strawberry, so it is also known as a strawberry crab.
Strawberry crabs were first discovered in Kenting National Park in Taiwan eight years ago. Kenting National Park is the first national park in Taiwan Province of China, the park as a whole is irregularly positive, the span of north and south is about 24 kilometers, and the total area is 33,269 hectares (of which the land area is 18,084 hectares).
All areas of Kenting National Park are tropical, with the Taiwan Strait to the west, NanrenShan to the north, the Bashi Strait to the south, and the Pacific Ocean to the east. Because the terrain is changeable, various animal and plant resources are very rich. Even in recent years, many novel species have been discovered in Kenting National Park.
However, when the strawberry crab was first discovered, many people did not think of them as a new breed of crab, but as a variant of some kind of crab. Even many people suspect that this is an abnormal mutation caused by environmental pollution and other reasons. To this end, many biologists have conducted in-depth and thorough research on the environment of Kenting National Park and strawberry crabs. It turned out that this strawberry-like crab was really a naturally bred variety.
In addition, in addition to the tropical areas of Taiwan, this unique strawberry crab was later found in tropical areas such as the Polynesian Islands, Mauritius and Hawaii. Strawberry crabs found in different regions are similar in appearance and body shape, the diameter of the shell is about 3 centimeters, and the body can reach six or seven centimeters when unfolded.
Like most known crabs in the world, strawberry crabs mainly feed on seaweed. However, the reproductive ability of strawberry crabs is relatively weak, and the requirements for the environment are very high, once the surrounding environment is polluted, almost strawberry crabs can not survive. So in a way, strawberry crabs are also a touchstone for the state of the environment.
Wallface thought:
The weak creatures of strawberry crabs did not go extinct in large part because of their bright colors. In the eyes of humans, they look like a strawberry, but in nature they are often regarded as highly toxic by other creatures. Therefore, there are very few predators who have the idea of hitting strawberry crabs.
