Above: Side-center sagittal incision, we get the longitudinal section of the lateral ventricle
Above: From the front to the back, the ventricles look like this
Above: Yellow represents the location of the choroid plexus, making it clear that there is no choroid plexus in the anterior and posterior corners
The green color above shows the anterior angle of the lateral ventricle
The picture above shows the lateral ventricular body
Above: Posterior angle of the lateral ventricle
Above: Lateral ventricular triangle (atrium)
Above: Lower lateral ventricular angle
Understanding the anatomy, everything is solved. Someone asked you, the two lateral ventricles are widened, while the third ventricle is normal, where is the site of obstruction? Based on the anatomical diagram above, you should answer that there is obstruction in the interventricular foramen. By the same token, if both lateral and third ventricles are widened and the fourth ventricle is normal, midbrain catheter stenosis should be considered.
Note that the fire yellow part of the picture above is a transparent septum
❶ between the anterior corners of the lateral ventricles
❷ In front of the interventricular hole
❸Closed 2 to 6 months after birth
Behind the transparent septum, the Merriam-Webster cavity is often seen
Merriam-Webster cavity
❶ lateral ventricular body
❷The back of the interventricular hole
❸Closure begins in june of pregnancy
❹97% were closed at birth
