On November 4, Bohai Bank Nanjing Branch publicly responded to the "2.8 billion deposit pledge incident" for the first time.

Previously, Jimin Credible Pharmaceutical Industry Investment Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Jimin Credible) claimed that bohai Bank Nanjing Branch used 2.8 billion deposits for pledge guarantee without the knowledge of the enterprise, and the guaranteed company Huaye Petrochemical had nothing to do with Jimin Credible. After fermentation, the three parties fell into Rashomon and aroused strong concern from all walks of life.

Bohai Bank's Nanjing branch said in the briefing that the bank learned that in about a year, Jimin Credible also received additional income from Huaye Petrochemical Department, which was three times higher than the interest on the bank's deposits.

Moreover, Bohai Bank revealed that the bank's possession of other information shows that Jimin is credible and aware of the matter.

At present, according to media reports, Guan Pengcheng, assistant general manager of the business department of Bohai Bank Nanjing Branch, is in a state of disappearance. And according to the preliminary investigation of the relevant departments of Jiangsu Province, the seals on the materials for handling loan guarantee pledge business are suspected of being forged.

Bohai Bank said that the incident exposed the weak links in the personnel management and operation of the sales department under the Bank's Nanjing Branch, and said that it would investigate the matter to the end.

Bohai Bank said that for the pledged funds involved in this incident, the bank will strictly follow the investigation conclusions and final results of the judicial organs and deal with them according to law. The responsibilities that need to be borne by the bank will never be prevaricated, not evaded, or transferred any legal responsibilities.

At present, the public security organs have accepted the report and launched an investigation and evidence collection. Bohai Bank called for a clear and fair environment for the public security and judicial organs to investigate and handle cases, and to patiently wait for the police to find a more detailed investigation into the matter.
