The Australian King Parrot ( scientific name : alisterus scapularis ) is a bird of the family Parrotidae. There are 2 subspecies. It is the largest Australian parakeet and the largest king parrot, with a red head to thorax and abdomen and green for females.

Mainly inhabited in the mountain forest below 1600 meters above sea level, there will be migratory behavior with the change of climate, the main habitat during the breeding period in the humid and dense forest, canyon forest, open Yujiali forest, grassland woodland, riverside forest and other areas, food contains fruits, berries, seeds, nuts, flowers, vegetables, plant buds, insect larvae, etc., will go to orchards and farmland to forage, resulting in loss of agricultural products.
