It is rumored that Bazhaigou was originally eight villages, and the villagers in the village all lived by picking octagons in the valley in the ditch, so it was called Bazhaigou. The mountain waterhole is the characteristic scenery of Bazhaigou, there are up to hundreds of waterholes in the ditch, from low to high, it is neatly arranged in a step-like manner, forming a natural bath, the large pool is 3 or 4 meters deep, which can accommodate hundreds of people, and the small pond can only accommodate one or two people. Each waterhole has a nice name and a magical tale of legends.
The history of Bazhaigou has also brought strange stones, mountain streams meandering, exposed above the surface of the mountain streams, because of the rich iron oxides, belongs to acidic soil, the rocks are reddish brown. The Red Rock Beach is a typical attraction of reddish-brown rocks, which constitutes a natural rock exhibition hall in Bazhaigou and can't help but sigh the magic of nature's creation.
In addition to water and stone, Bazhaigou also has many strange trees, with 12 kinds of national rare plants and 11 kinds of national key wild protected animals, of which the good luck tree and the sending tree are the most unique. The lower half of the sending tree is hollow in the middle, and new branches and leaves grow in the hollow place, and the root whiskers grow at the bottom of the branches, which is called the sending tree by the locals. The tourist route of Bazhaigou is a mountain road of about 5 kilometers long, which follows the stream and travels through the primeval jungle, and it takes three or four hours to explore. If you don't have enough physical strength, it is recommended to play near the chain bridge, and you can follow the stream to the source.
