At this year's China International Consumer Goods Fair, an oil painting called "Li Women" attracted many tourists to stop and admire. The author of this oil painting, which was collected by the buyer at a high price, is wang hexiong, an authentic farmer in Tunchang County, Hainan Province.

Tunchang County is located on the south bank of the Nandu River, the northern foothills of Wuzhi Mountain, close to the ecological core area of Hainan, where the "Tianzi-shaped" expressway network intersects, and it is only a 40-minute drive from the provincial capital Haikou. Relying on its unique ecological, transportation and location advantages, Tunchang's cultural tourism industry is entering the fast lane of development.

Oil Painting Street

In Tunchang, there is a group of "peasant painters" who accompany oil paint and paint in their spare time. With a high level of oil painting creation, they formed the Tunchang painter brand. Their studios converge on a street where tourists and customers flock to it, and the oil painting street becomes a scene of Tunchang.

Tunchang oil painting began to be inspired by Chen Youjun, a self-taught peasant painter in Tunchang Xianliu Village. In 1984, Chen Youjun founded the Tunchang Yanpuxuan Art School, which trained more than 6,000 students. Villagers put down their hoes and picked up paintbrushes to paint after farming, which became a beautiful scenery in the countryside.

"Many people know about the oil painting industry in Dafen Village, Shenzhen, but what people don't know is that many of the painters in Dafen Village are from The past in Tunchang." Chen Chuantao, president of the Tunchang Oil Painting Association, said.

In 2011, the Tunchang County Party Committee and the county government issued the "Oil Painting Industry Development Plan" to build a hometown of oil painting. Peasant painters who have wandered in Shanghai, Shenzhen, Xiamen and other cities have returned to their hometowns, oil painting villages have developed, and oil painting streets have become a "punch card" for tourists.

In April this year, the Tunchang County Government signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with the Hainan Branch of the Bank of China, striving to further sing the Tunchang oil painting brand through online and offline integrated development and other means, and make the oil painting industry bigger and stronger.

Wang Li is the owner of the "Cultivation Gallery" on Tunchang Oil Painting Pedestrian Street, and in her 30s, she was originally engaged in the oil painting industry in Guangzhou, and returned to her hometown a few years ago to start a business and opened the gallery. She said: "There are many tourists who come to buy paintings, and the price of general landscape paintings ranges from hundreds to thousands of yuan, and if it is an original work, it can sell for tens of thousands of pieces." At present, the local government provides free paving, the operating cost is low, and her annual income can reach more than 200,000 yuan.

"On the one hand, it attracts individual customers to buy paintings, and on the other hand, it provides customized painting services for enterprises." Chen Chuantao said that since its opening, Oil Painting Street has attracted more than 100,000 tourists, and these oil painting products are not only sold to major cities in China, but also exported abroad.

"You see, the child's cheerful eyes in the painting are in stark contrast to the vigilant eyes of the puppy, vivid and vivid." In front of an oil painting called "Xia Xue", Qin Dong, a painting enthusiast from Haikou, told the child about the subtleties of this painting.

In the end, Qin Dong bought the painting for 4200 yuan. "This work took me 3 days, polished repeatedly, is a small fine painting, and the price is quite satisfactory." Yang Jiaoping, author of "Going to School" and a peasant painter, said.

Theme Garden

Driving 12 kilometers southwest from Oil Painting Street, you will arrive at the dreamy Xiangshan Aromatic Culture Park Scenic Area, which is famous for its "incense". This scenic spot with an investment of more than 200 million yuan has more than 100 kinds of aromatic plants from all over the world, such as lavender, rose, agarwood, rosemary, basil, etc., as well as more than 40 kinds of flowering plants such as jacaranda, kapok, flame wood, wind chimes, thorn trees, and yellow locusts, where people indulge in the ocean of flowers.

"With vanilla culture as the core, the park has independently developed perfumes, soaps, vanilla tea and other products, creating an industrial chain of tourism, fitness, scientific research and processing." Tax Hong, the person in charge of the scenic spot, told reporters that the Dream Xiangshan Aromatic Culture Park scenic spot has the titles of national "hot crop standardized production demonstration park", "national leisure agriculture and rural tourism five-star park", "hainan leisure agriculture demonstration point" and "the first batch of shared farms in Hainan Province".

There is also a blockbuster in the park - spring water lemon. Taking advantage of the unique local soil and fertilizer conditions, the Dream Xiangshan Aromatic Culture Park Scenic Area leads the surrounding villagers to grow high-quality fresh zinc-rich lemons. When tourists are resting and cooling, come to a cup of spring water lemonade, full of fragrance and refreshing spleen, come to a cold lemon, sour and delicious after a long aftertaste. Tax Hong said that their spring water lemons are fruited all year round, and they have signed long-term supply contracts with merchants and are exported to Southeast Asia and Europe.

Since its opening in 2015, more and more tourists have visited the Dream Xiangshan Aromatic Culture Park, and the scenic spot has become a "gateway scenic spot" in central Hainan. "The children are on summer vacation, take them here to see, learn to know different plants, participate in some outdoor development, handicraft activities, taste special herbs and dining, here is worth a visit." Haikou tourist Huang Bin came here with a family by car.

"The development of the Dream Xiangshan Aromatic Culture Park scenic spot has injected new impetus into the development of the cultural tourism industry in Tunchang." Tan Zhigan, deputy director of the Tunchang County Tourism, Culture, Radio, Television and Sports Bureau, said.

Next to the Dream Fragrant Mountain Aroma Culture Park, the Jialetan Golden Coconut Tourism Culture Comprehensive Project with the theme of "Coconut Tree Culture" has begun to take shape. Gao Wei, general manager of the project, said: "Hainan is the hometown of coconut trees, but there are fewer tourism projects with the theme of 'coconut tree culture', which can be said to be a market gap. Tunchang County has a good agricultural foundation, this cultural tourism project covering an area of more than 4,000 acres has planted more than 50,000 new varieties of Thai golden coconuts, and many coconuts have begun to bear fruit. In the future, visitors can spend their holidays and experience coconut picking and coconut fruit processing here. The Tunchang County government has also completed the water network project for the project, and now, the golden coconut forest has gradually taken shape.

"Giving priority to the development of agriculture and rural areas and comprehensively promoting rural revitalization, we have more confidence in developing the coconut industry." Relying on the coconut landscape, we will also build a coconut culture theme park, create an industrial park integrating agricultural planting, leisure tourism, cultural and creative display, shopping and consumption, etc., and explore the deep integration of agricultural culture and tourism. Gao Wei said.

Red Road

The Nantian Red Tour is a popular tourist route in Tunchang in recent years. In 1927, the Nantian Uprising, with the central task of "restoring and developing the party's organization, establishing workers' and peasants' armed forces in the rural areas, and opposing counter-revolutionary armed forces with revolutionary armed forces", laid a solid foundation for the "23 years of the red flag not falling" in the Revolutionary Base Area of Qiongya, Hainan.

Walk along the stone path of Nantian Village, Xichang Town, Tunchang County, and pass a large banyan tree that is 100 years old, and an octagonal shaped well comes into view.

"In 1927, Feng Ping, the leader of the Qiongya Revolution, led more than 500 workers and peasants of the Red Guards to garrison Nantian Village, and at that time, when it was difficult to draft water, Feng Ping led the soldiers and the masses to expand the well, digging the well deep and expanding the caliber." Qiu Tianfu, head of the Nantian village group, said: In order to carry forward the revolutionary fighting spirit of the Red Army and inherit the revolutionary tradition of "not forgetting to dig wells when drafting water," the descendants of Nantian renamed the well "Red Army Well."

The cultural relics of the former site of the uprising oath meeting and the site of the headquarters, one after another, the pictures of heroic martyrs, tell people about the bloody and bloody years, and reveal to people the hard-won good life today. The continuous improvement of red tourism quality, beautiful and clean rural landscape, perfect infrastructure, attracting more and more tourists, the former site of the Nantian Uprising has also been listed by the Party School of the Hainan Provincial Party Committee as a teaching base for revolutionary traditional education.

"We have carried out the construction of a social civilization practice center in the new era in conjunction with the red revolution education of the Nantian Uprising, and are integrating resources and making good use of rural revitalization funds to connect the old revolutionary areas such as Nantian, Coconut Village, and Muruishan to create a red tourism route in Tunchang." Ling Yun, secretary of the Tunchang County Party Committee, said.
