China has a splendid civilization of 5,000 years, and there are countless myths and stories sprinkled on the folk, such as: Mengjiang Female Weeping Great Wall, Nuwa Supplementing Heaven, Liang Shanbo and Zhu Yingtai, Jingwei Reclamation, The Legend of the Seven Fairies, etc., these legends and stories are undoubtedly the precious heritage of Chinese folk culture. But among the many mythological stories, the story of the seven fairies is the most controversial, similar plots in foreign countries, even islands far from the mainland have similar versions, the story is basically the same, nothing more than the fairy in the sky (China), or the goddess (abroad), the next mortal bath, and then meet mortals, with whom to love the story. Today I will take you closer to the birthplace of the story of the Seven Fairies in China, and talk about the stories of the "fairies" at home and abroad.

One of the stops of this Jiangxi style collection is Xinyu's Seven Fairy Lake, which is a national 4A-level scenic spot, famous for its green scenery and rippled lakes. The entire scenic area reached 198 square kilometers, the water area was 50 square kilometers, and there were 99 islands alone. In addition to its beautiful scenery, Fairy Lake is also the birthplace of the story of the Seven Fairies.
Maybe some friends will say that the story of the Seven Fairies did not take place in Yancheng, Jiangsu Province? Some friends will say that it should be Xixi in Shaxian County, etc., and there will be various historical materials in each place to prove that the story of the seven fairies takes place locally, and there are no less than four or five places where there are seven fairy stories in China. In fact, in my opinion, since it is a legendary story, and there are no photos or videos as evidence, it is completely normal to have similar stories in the context of the entire Chinese culture and later under the influence of Confucianism.
Not only is there a marriage between fairies and mortals in Chinese culture, but in foreign countries thousands of miles away, it has not fallen into the cliché. In medieval Scotland there is the story of "Fairy", the story is roughly, a young man on the eve of marriage, dreaming of walking into the forest alone, seeing the fairy Silfida is taking a bath, the next day, this brother is stunned to escape marriage, according to the witch's guidance to find the fairy, and finally the fairy got along for a while, the fairy was cursed by the witch to die, the result of this brother returned to the village, is seeing his original fiancée, married to his brother, the result does not know whether it is regret, or anger, anyway, the last is sad and angry, anyway, the last is sad and angry, The fox did not catch the end of the commotion.
Of course, on a global scale, there are countless stories of the union of fairies and mortals, spread across the islands of Europe, Africa and Oceania. Its stories are basically the same, first happy and then worried, I will not tell them all here. But I found a common, close to ninety percent fairy story, is that the fairy is bathing in a mortal pond or lake, and the hero meets, and the later story happens, I wonder, is there a limit to the water supply in the sky? Only to force a few fairies to work tirelessly and trek thousands of miles to the mortal world to take a bath? Or is the bath a void, and it is true to find a ruyi langjun? In today's rule of law society, this situation is absolutely invisible, even if there are beautiful women bathing in the pond, if you find someone peeping, you will definitely hear a pleasant, crisp sound, that is, catch the hooligans! Therefore, I hope that all the good brothers will respect themselves!
Back to the point, since the seven fairies were mentioned today and the fairy lake in Xinyu was mentioned, let's talk about this local "fairy". Many people have seen or heard of this story. In fact, the legend of the seven fairies originates from the ancient ancestors' worship of heaven, combined with astronomy and folk tales, the seven stars of the female su fu basket, the seven stars of the Pleiades, the three stars of the cow su weaver girl, and the four stars of the female sue wu nu, etc., are related to the ancient ancestors' understanding of the stars. Among them, the seven stars of Pleiades have been called "Seven Gu Stars" since ancient times, also known as "Seven Niang Stars", which is the lowest brightness level of these seven stars, and the other six stars are bright, indicating that the other six fairies are still gods in the sky, and only the "Seven Niangs" star is married to mortals.
Speaking of Xinyu Fairy Lake is the birthplace of the story of the Seven Fairies, it is not out of nothing, as early as the Eastern Jin Dynasty historian Gan Bao's work "Search for God", there is such a record: "Yuzhang Xinyu County man, see there are six or seven women in the field, all wearing sweaters, I don't know if it is a bird...". Xinyu County in the text is Xinyu, where the Fairy Lake in Jiangxi is now located, but at that time, the name of the hero was not Dong Yong, but Tanlang.
In everyone's mind, the seven fairies are dressed in seven-colored gauze, and the "Search for God" is recorded as a "sweater". The author blindly guessed that when the seven fairies came to fairy lake, it was estimated that it was early autumn, so they wore more. Legend has it that Tan Lang of Xinyu County, gu yu zhang, saw six or seven beautiful girls bathing by the lake one day, and there were seven white sweaters on the shore, and Tan Lang took one in his hand when he was amazed at the beauty of these beautiful women (the author thinks that this kind of behavior is really inappropriate!). As a result, all the beautiful women flew into the sky after washing, and only one girl who had lost her sweater wandered and could not leave, which was the youngest of the seven fairies, "Seven Niang".
Tan Lang will take it home, marry him, and have three children. A few years later, "Seventh Niang" asked about the whereabouts of Tan Lang's clothes, and Tan Lang told her that the clothes were hidden under the rice pile, and as a result, "Seven Niang" found the clothes and flew away, returning to the Heavenly Garden, and a few days later, she brought the three children born back to the Heavenly Garden, leaving Tan Lang alone for half a lifetime.
For the story of the "Seven Fairies", Gan Bao, the author of "Search for God", is also sorted out from folk stories, and "Search for God" mainly records folk stories of gods and ghosts, which is the same type as the Qing Dynasty novelist Pu Songling's "Liaozhai Zhiyi".
Because of the record of "Search for God", fairy lake has become a holy place of love, and the love mountain and love water tell you not to leave the suffering and meet each other. Fairy Lake is also known as the birthplace of "the legend of the Seven Fairies of China" and "Valentine's Day of Qixi in China". Every year during the Tanabata Festival, a variety of celebrations are held here. If you have the opportunity to visit here with your loved one, the views will not disappoint you. At the end of the article, I felt that if I were Tan Lang, I would not say where I hid my clothes!
