The establishment of the Zhengzhou Shaolin Martial Arts Standardization Technical Committee, the formulation of Shaolin martial arts routine standards is imminent.
Zhengzhou Municipal Sports Bureau introduced in the reply that Shaolin martial arts is the inheritance carrier of Chinese culture, it takes martial arts skills and routines as the form of expression, Buddhist beliefs and Zen wisdom as the cultural connotation, has a complete technical and theoretical system, is the most outstanding representative of Chinese martial arts culture, is China's unique cultural form and cultural symbols, has rich ideological connotation and high cultural value, and has a very far-reaching impact on Chinese martial arts and even Buddhist beliefs. Shaolin Kung Fu has formed a complete and systematic Zen Wu cultural system in the history of development in 1500 years, and has now become a valuable heritage of Chinese culture and an important representative of Henan's intangible cultural heritage, if successfully declared, it will have a positive effect on the timely and effective protection of the source and foundation of traditional Shaolin Kung Fu.
In order to actively promote the Shaolin Kung Fu application, the Zhengzhou Municipal Sports Bureau will promote the standardization of Shaolin martial arts. Shaolin martial arts have been developed and handed down by countless martial arts masters of the Chinese nation in the long river of history, and are the largest school of Chinese martial arts and the crystallization of the wisdom of countless people of the Chinese nation. However, for a long time, due to the large number of martial arts categories, scattered distribution, the lack of unified industry standards, and the lack of unified teachers, teaching materials, teaching methods and connotation norms of Shaolin martial arts in foreign exchanges, this has greatly limited the standardization and large-scale development of Shaolin martial arts, and also affected the pace of successful application for heritage.
The Zhengzhou Municipal Sports Bureau said that the establishment of the Zhengzhou Shaolin Martial Arts Standardization Technical Committee and the formulation of Shaolin martial arts standardization are imminent. In accordance with the requirements of the "Henan Provincial Professional Standardization Technical Committee Management Measures", we will strengthen coordination and communication with relevant departments and experts to jointly promote the construction of shaolin martial arts standardization system. Through the introduction of standards, the relationship between the various schools of Shaolin martial arts will be coordinated, a unified Shaolin martial arts routine standard will be formulated, and the discourse power of the international standards of Chinese martial arts will be won, so as to provide support for the dissemination of Shaolin martial arts at a wider level and field.
The Zhengzhou Municipal Sports Bureau said in its reply that it is necessary to learn from the successful experience of Taijiquan in applying for heritage, carry out standardized declaration procedures, form a high-level expert team, establish a sound and effective protection and inheritance mechanism, continuously improve the level of intangible cultural heritage protection, comprehensively and systematically inherit Shaolin martial arts culture, and truly build Shaolin Kung Fu into a World Heritage business card. Actively seek multi-party collaboration, make full use of local superior resources, explore the Shaolin cultural development model to cultivate brands with regional characteristics, and improve the consensus of intangible cultural heritage as a whole. Further consolidate and develop the influence of Shaolin martial arts at home and abroad, dig deeply, explore and study Shaolin Kung Fu, correctly understand its profound connotations, promote Shaolin Kung Fu at home and abroad, and lay a good foundation for declaring a world cultural heritage.
According to public media reports, on August 1, 2010, at the World Heritage Conference held in Brazil, the Songshan Historical Building Complex "In Heaven and Earth" was included in the World Cultural Heritage List, which was interpreted by the media as "the successful application for the Shaolin Temple". The Songshan Historic Building Complex, which was successfully applied for heritage, includes the Shaolin Temple Complex (Chang Hospital, Chu Zu Nunnery, Tallinn). The Shaolin Temple said that this is only the success of the building's application for heritage, and the Shaolin Temple will also promote the Shaolin Kung Fu declaration as a world-class intangible cultural heritage.
As early as 2005, "Shaolin Kung Fu" declared the "United Nations Oral and Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity", but it was not selected due to short time and unknown materials. Later, the relevant parties changed their minds and packaged the entire songshan relics as a whole, named the "Songshan Historical Building Complex", but in 2009, it was accidentally stuck, and it was not until the World Heritage Conference in 2010 that it was voted on.
In 2006, Shaolin Kung Fu was inscribed on the Representative List of National Intangible Cultural Heritage.
