This is the first national modern agricultural industrial park in Beijing with livestock and poultry breeding industry as the leading industry, and the park will promote Beijing to play an important role in breeding innovation, achievement transformation and demonstration in the dairy cow and egg breeding industry, which is of great pioneering significance and demonstration significance.

Pinggu District has a strong agricultural foundation, rich scientific and technological resources, especially a large number of livestock and poultry germplasm resources, a strong momentum of development of livestock and poultry breeding industry, and the strength and foundation for the development of livestock and poultry breeding industry. With the construction of the agricultural science and technology innovation zone, it has attracted many universities and scientific research institutions to settle down, and the ability of scientific and technological research and development and innovation is increasing day by day. On July 26, 2021, Cai Qi, secretary of the Beijing Municipal Party Committee, went to Pinggu District to investigate and emphasize that it is necessary to adhere to the ecological district, unswervingly take the road of green development, fully promote the construction of agricultural science and technology innovation demonstration zone, create a first-class agricultural "Zhongguancun", and walk in the forefront of the city in rural revitalization and agricultural and rural modernization, becoming a benchmark. Layout and base construction of livestock and poultry breeding industry
Pinggu District focuses on the development of five major livestock and poultry breeding industries of layer chickens, broilers, meat ducks, dairy cows and pigs, and maintains 7 chicken germplasm resources of Jinghong No. 1, Jingfan No. 1, Jingfan No. 2, Jingfeng No. 6, Jingbai No. 1, Beijing Oil Chicken and Guifei Chicken; 2 duck germplasm resources of Nankou No. 1 and SM3 Cherry Valley Duck; and 6 pig germplasm resources of Medium Breeding Pig, PIC Breeding Pig, Dabai, Changbai, Duroc and Pitland, which are currently the most complete and most abundant breeds of livestock and poultry in China. At present, there are 22 dairy cattle, layer chickens, Beijing oil chickens and pig breeding bases, of which 15 have been operated.
Agglomeration of innovation elements and construction of scientific and technological platforms
The demonstration area gathered four international first-class seed industry enterprises of Beijing Huadu Yukou Poultry Industry Co., Ltd., Beijing Chia Tai Egg Food Co., Ltd., Cherry Valley Farm Co., Ltd. and New Hope Group, as well as Beijing Dairy Cow Center, Beijing Zhongyu Breeding Pig Co., Ltd., Beijing Liuma Dahaoheshan Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Technology Co., Ltd., Beijing Daweijia Biotechnology Co., Ltd. and Sifang Red (Pinggu) Breeding Pig Welfare Demonstration Farm, as well as Wageningen University in the Netherlands, China Agricultural University and Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences 2. The University of Science and Technology Beijing, Beijing Academy of Agriculture and Forestry Sciences and other domestic and foreign universities and colleges have formed close cooperative relations. It has 20 seed industry research platforms. Among them, "Beijing Jingwa Agricultural Science and Technology Innovation Center" is a research and development platform for international cooperation in agriculture jointly established by the Beijing Municipal Government and Wageningen University in the Netherlands.
Construction of a platform for incubation and achievement transformation
With scientific and technological innovation elements (scientific and technological projects, scientific and technological talents, and scientific and technological finance) as the core, and personalized services as the means, the demonstration area makes various "double creation" entities become the main force to promote the development of agricultural scientific and technological innovation. In May 2018, Beijing TusS Green Valley Operation Management Co., Ltd. was established as an enterprise accelerator in the park, becoming the first scientific and technological innovation enterprise accelerator operated in Pinggu District. In November 2018, the Zhongguancun Administrative Committee officially approved the construction of the "Zhongguancun (Pinggu) Agricultural Science and Technology Frontier Technology Innovation Center" in Pinggu.
Construction of international cooperation and exchange platform
Give full play to the role of innovation engines such as Jingwa Center and CIIC Biological Agriculture International Research Institute, promote the construction of infrastructure such as innovation centers of scientific research headquarters, international communities, schools, hospitals, and Green Dragon Park, and improve the livable and workable living environment. The International Forum on Agricultural Science and Technology Innovation and the International Agricultural Science and Technology Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition will be held to create a window for the external display of agricultural science and technology in Beijing.
