On November 2, Beijing time, the NBA officially announced the player of the week in the second week of the new season. The Heat's Jimmy Butler was named Eastern Conference Of the Week's Best, the sixth time in his career. Western Conference Best of the Week was elected by Jazz center Rudy Gobert, the second time in his career. The Lakers' thick eyebrows, Westbrook and the Nets' Durant were all nominated for the Best of the Week.

Eastern Conference Best of the Week: Butler
Last week, Butler averaged 28 points, eight rebounds and 5.3 assists per game, helping the Heat to a 4-0 record. Currently, the Heat's record is 5 wins and 1 loss.
The Heat official posted a picture congratulating Butler, with the caption "not surprising", quite domineering.
Against the Magic, Butler contributed 36 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists and 5 steals; against the Nets, Butler had 17 points, 14 rebounds, 7 assists, 4 steals and 1 block; against the Hornets, Butler had 32 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists, 1 steal and 1 block; against the Grizzlies, Butler had 27 points, 5 rebounds, 7 assists and 3 steals.
So far in the new season, Butler has averaged 25.3 points, 7 rebounds and 5.5 assists per game, shooting 52.9% from the field, 37.5% from three-point range, and 89.1% from the free throw line.
Western Week's Best: Gobert
Last week, Gobert averaged 16.3 points, 15.5 rebounds, 2.3 blocks and 1 assist per game, shooting 77.8 percent from the field, helping the Jazz to a 3-1 record. Currently, the Jazz's record is 5 wins and 1 loss. Gobert's season average of first-place rebounds per game (17.2), fourth-place shooting percentage (72.1 percent) and tied for first place in the double-double (five).
Against the Nuggets, Gobert contributed 23 points, 16 rebounds and 1 block; against the Rockets, Gobert had 16 points, 14 rebounds, 1 block and 1 assist; against the Bulls, Gobert had 17 points, 19 rebounds and 3 blocks; against the Bucks, Gobert had 9 points, 13 rebounds and 4 blocks.
In the first six games of the new season, Gobert scored a total of 98 points, 103 rebounds and 10 blocks, which is the third time since the 2001-02 season that a player has been able to get at least 90 points, 100 rebounds and 10 blocks in the first six games of the season. Chuang Shen has done it in the 2015-16 season and the 2019-20 season. So far in the new season, Gobert has averaged 16.3 points, 17.2 rebounds and 1.7 blocks per game.
