Located in Waco, Texas, a city with a creepy reputation, Cameron Park only adds to that feeling. This is Jacob's ladder, an extremely steep and aging staircase that leads to bluff. Jacob's ladder is said to be the home of "ghost catchers" who dragged climbers to their deaths. Then there's the tar pit, where a motorcyclist is killed in an overly ambitious jump. He is now haunted in the area. Then there's "Lover's Leap," where a Native American, Romeo and Juliet, jump off a cliff together. They are also haunted in the area. The best of all is the Witch's Castle, a set of broken stone ruins in the center of the forest, where people can hear the screams and songs of witch ghosts every night.

Freetown has played a big role in earning its surrounding area the nickname "Bridgewater Triangle". UFO kidnappings, regular kidnappings, ghosts, Indian curses, Bigfoot, murders, sacrifices, poisonous waste dumping, mutant animals, thunderbird sightings, and even an escaped Em tracking the forest.

Legend has it that the devil used this space to dance the night, hence the name.

Schwarzwald, also known as the Black Forest, in southwestern Germany, is a dark, damp coniferous forest. Its suffocating atmosphere inspired the Brothers Grimm to make up several more horrific stories there.
Most famously, the size and density of the forest inspired the Brotherhood to write "Hansel and Gretel," a story that begins with two children hopelessly disoriented in the crowded woods. Further supporting this claim is that some of the trails crammed into Schwarzwald are considered to be the oldest in the world, and their twisted, crumbling faces appear to be the oldest.

Poland's crooked forests are aptly named, and their trees grow curved and troublesome —all trees are the same. How hundreds of pine trees became so distorted remains a mystery. Unlike the devil's trampling ground, which scientists attribute to naturally occurring salt licking, the trees of the crooked forest remain a mystery. As you might expect, many have turned to extraterrestrial forces for explanation.

Elfin Forest in Escado, California, manages a very rare and bizarre hat-trick: it has an abandoned lunatic asylum, cursed by native American spirits, and cursed by the Roma (the correct name for the gypsies).
There are plenty of creepy places in the forest, and that's Spock Canyon, where the Romans lived before they were slaughtered. The hill above the canyon is said to be a collective graveyard for Native American children. Perhaps related to the grave are mysterious child-sized footprints on concrete pipes in the area. There's also Questhaven, an abandoned mental hospital with many impressive and terrifying folktales.
