He was a straight man who criticized the chief in person at meetings, and later served as the chief of the Military Justice Department, and was awarded the title of major general at the age of 58
The average age of the founding major general was 43, the youngest major general was 34-year-old Wu Zhong, and the oldest was 58-year-old Ding Wuxuan, who was older than most marshals at the time, so even if these people had higher ranks than him, they would call him a big brother.
Ding Wuxuan is a straight man, and everything must be divided into right and wrong, and the same is true in the face of superiors. When he first joined the army, he was in the Red First Army, Xu Jishen was his commander, and he was a fellow countryman, and he had a very good relationship.

Once when it was his turn to stand guard, he personally saw some people kill Xu Jishen, and Ding Wuxuan rushed in without saying a word, asking them why they killed the commander. Since he was a creep at the time, the men didn't treat him well and just left.
Ding Wuxuan picked up Xu Jishen's body, cried for a long time, and wanted to bury him well, and the others advised Ding Wuxuan to leave it alone, but he said that Xu Jishen was a good military commander and wanted to kill him together.
At a meeting in Yan'an in 1944, Chairman Mao and other central leaders asked everyone to express their opinions and raise questions. Ding Wuxuan went so far as to criticize Chairman Mao to his face, saying that he was too eccentric and biased against the Red Fourth Front, because Chairman Mao once wrote in a report that there was "some difference" in his attitude toward the cadres of the Red Fourth Front.
The participants were shocked and thought that Ding Wuxuan had stabbed the big basket. In fact, this is also what other people think, but others dare not say it, only he dares to say it.
Chairman Mao smiled and said that his instructions at that time were written as "treat all people equally," and if you look at the telegram, you will know, and then he transferred the original, which is indeed the same, and it seems that the operator of the newspaper wrote a mistake when receiving the report.
Ding Wuxuan blamed Chairman Mao for his mistake, and he immediately apologized, after all, he had done something wrong. Chairman Mao was generous and did not blame him, and encouraged everyone to learn from Ding Wuxuan and speak out if there was a problem, so as to avoid unnecessary misunderstandings.
After the founding of New China, Ding Wuxuan was appointed director of the Military Justice Division of the Logistics Department of the Central and Southern Military Region and president of the Military Court of the Wuhan Military Region, which coincided with his upright personality.
In 1955, Ding Wuxuan was awarded the rank of major general, in 1988 he was awarded the Red Star Meritorious Medal of merit of the first class of the Chinese People's Liberation Army, and died of illness in Zhengzhou in 1993.
