In 1948, he participated in his first film "Reunion". In 1949, he won the first prize of the 1949-1955 Outstanding Film Award of the Ministry of Culture of China for his starring role in the feature film "The Crow and the Sparrow". In 1954, he starred in the war movie "Reconnaissance of Crossing the River". In 1959, the feature film "Ten Thousand Purples and Thousands of Reds Is Always Spring" starring him was released.
