State lawmakers oppose players kneeling and threatening the Thunder with the elimination of tax breaks

A Oklahoma lawmaker, unhappy with NBA players kneeling during the national anthem, said he would propose to remove the Thunder's tax breaks if they kneel and sing the national anthem in This Sunday's game against the Jazz.

The state legislator, sean Roberts, wrote in a statement:

"If the oklahoma city Thunder leaders and players respond to current NBA trends and kneel before Sunday's game while playing the national anthem, maybe we're going to revisit the significant tax breaks the government gave them when they first came to Oklahoma."

At 3:30 a.m. Beijing time this Sunday, the Thunder will usher in the first game of the rematch against the Jazz.
