Beijing, September 18 (China News Network) After 10 years of construction, the special resources of the Northeast Anti-Japanese Coalition in the "Memory of China" project of the National Library of China have formed a thematic resource library with the longest construction time, the largest number of interviewees, the largest total amount of literature construction, and the most diverse carrier forms.
On September 17, the National Library of China released the progress of the construction of the special resources of the Northeast Anti-Japanese Coalition Army in Beijing. According to reports, in the past ten years, the interview team of the China Memory Project has visited the northeast and traveled from Beijing to Hubei, Sichuan, Xinjiang, Guangdong, and Shandong to conduct oral history interviews with all 25 veterans of the Anti-Japanese League known to be alive, interviews with more than 60 family members and descendants of the Anti-Japanese Alliance, more than 20 witnesses to the War of Resistance and historical researchers of the Anti-Japanese Alliance, and accumulated more than 400 hours of oral historical materials for more than 100 respondents.
Up to now, the China Memory Project has interviewed about 1,000 historical photos in paper and digital editions, 266 cassette tapes, 92 volumes of diary manuscripts of veteran soldiers, 162 volumes of informal publications, and completed the search of more than 3,000 newspaper microfilms, from which 1,820 pages were copied, forming a three-dimensional, all-media thematic resource collection.

In fact, as early as September 18, 2011, Guotu held the Exhibition of Precious Documents of the Northeast Anti-Japanese Coalition Army and Feng Zhongyun's Manuscripts in the Museum commemorating the 80th anniversary of the 918 Incident. At that time, the audience that came to the exhibition included Li Zaide, a veteran soldier of the Third Army of the Northeast Anti-Japanese Coalition Army, and Li Min, a veteran soldier of the Sixth Army, as well as Feng Yiluo, the daughter of Feng Zhongyun, a general of the Northeast Anti-Japanese Coalition who was the director of the Beijing Library and a veteran soldier of the New Fourth Army. When listening to the wartime stories recalled by several elderly people, the staff of the national map felt a deep responsibility to visit and record the memories of these veterans and preserve them as a national documentary resource for eternity.
On the basis of resource construction, the China Memory Project has organized and held publicity and commemoration activities for the spirit of the Anti-League on many occasions to tell the public about the history of this hero. In 2012, the official website of the National Map opened a special page on "Memory of China", publishing 38 oral history videos of 15 veterans of the Northeast Anti-Japanese Coalition and their descendants, more than 100 historical photos, and resources such as the "Northeast Anti-Japanese Coalition Literature Catalogue". In 2016, "My Years of the Anti-Japanese Coalition - Oral History of the Soldiers of the Northeast Anti-Japanese Coalition Army" was published, with a total of 220,000 words, including the oral historical materials of 20 veterans of the Northeast Anti-Japanese League and descendants of the Anti-Japanese League. In addition, Guotu also jointly established the "Feng Zhongyun Library" with the Xinglong Forestry Bureau of Heilongjiang Province. The China Memory Project established a video data collection site for the former site of the Northeast Anti-Japanese Coalition Secret Camp in the local Shiye Forest Area, and donated the "Northeast Anti-Japanese Coalition Army Special Topic" literature resources to the museum.

Since then, starting in 2017, the focus of the construction of thematic resources has shifted from rescue interviews with anti-coalition veterans to visits to the descendants of the anti-coalition, the descendants of the volunteer army, and the rescue collection of civilian literature. Nowadays, more than 200 hours of oral historical materials and video materials have been accumulated from the generals and soldiers of the Northeast Anti-Japanese Alliance and the Northeast Volunteer Army, such as Zhao Shangzhi, Feng Zhanhai, Gao Tiqian, Zhao Yiman, Zhang Shi, Cheng Qinglong, and other descendants. Nearly 1,000 audio tapes of Zhao Liang's interviews and work note cards donated by Zhao Jiangchao, the son of Zhao Liang, a historical research scholar of the Northeast Anti-Japanese League, were collected.
The relevant person in charge of the National Library said that the National Library is the national document and information resources general database, and has always been responsible for the preservation of the historical memory of the Chinese nation. The memory of the veterans of the Anti-Japanese War League is the memory of our country and should be passed on forever among the sons and daughters of China from generation to generation. The rescue record of the memories of these witnesses, and the proper preservation and wide dissemination of them are both the responsibility of librarians to history and the obligation to the future.
